1992 FORD F-150 XLT 4x4 Supercab85,000 Actual Miles!Project--Needs Long Block
Looking for an awesome winter project vehicle that would be easy to put into top-notch condition? Here you go! This 1992 Ford F-150 is primarily a one-owner vehicle with 85,300 miles! Unfortunately the engine needs work or replacing. The truck does start right up and lot drive (it would drive up on a trailer), but I believe the 5.0 V-8 will need to be rebuilt or have a long block installed. One cylinder seems dead, and it is leaking oil from the drivers side quite heavily. (will smoke when driven) Probably has blown head gasket. The coolant level does not appear to have gone down, but when you drive this you can tell that it is missing and I would not drive it out of town. I do not believe I see any coolant in the oil. If I were keeping this truck I would probably buy a replacement long block from Napa and have it professionally installed. It also might be the ideal candidate for an engine swap. I have driven it as-is up to about 45 mph. The A/C is ice cold. The engine is surprisingly quiet. The exhaust manifolds are solid! (no exhaust leaks as are commonly found on a Ford like this). The vehicle was purchased new in Waseca, MN, and the elderly owner put 99% of the miles on this truck. The truck was mainly driven in the summer time in the Austin, MN area. That is why the body is in immaculate condition for a Minnesota truck that is this age. It does have some paint peeling and surface rust on the very bottom inch of the cab corners (pictured), but this could easily be resprayed to make this a 100% rust-free truck. I believe the front passenger side tire could use replacing due to some curb rash to the sidewall. But all tires hold air. The driver's side door opens fine from the outside, however the release cable needs replacing for the interior door handle (new part included). On the driver's side seat the lever that adjusts the seat appears to be bent. (new part included). The truck comes with a great painted to match Century topper. It also has a drop-in plastic bedliner. I looked under it and the bed appears to be in like-new condition! The original window sticker and all the original manuals are included. This will make one heck of an awesome project truck!!!! This is a NO RESERVE auction. Please only bid if you are serious and you have the money now and are ready to buy. I'm only selling this because I just bought a different project and I need to sell this one to help pay for the new project. If you'd like to inspect the truck feel free to contact me through the eBay Message System. Buyers with feedback below 5 please contact me before bidding so that I can verify your good business intentions. $200 deposit due within 24 hours of auction's end. Full payment due through cash or bank wire only within 7 days of auction's end. Enjoy the auction!!! I believe the new owner is going to be delighted to have such a clean, great looking truck!
