This car is a former police car that originally came with a 390. a 3-on-the-tree. and 4. 11 rear gears. This was gone when I got the car. When I got the car it had a 302 out of a 78 Ford Granada. a 4-speed manual out of a 69 Ford Mustang GT. and some kind of a Ford 9-inch rear end. They had done quite a bit of "custom work" to the car so I took a 352. 3-speed auto on the column. the drive-shaft. and the 3. 00 rear gears out of a donor 64' Galaxie sedan to bring everything back to as close to factory as possible. The carburetor is a Ford/Autolite 4100 4-bbl that has recently been rebuilt. The low beams. high beams. turn signals. and tail lights all work. The donor car just so happened to have working. factory power steering. which is now on the car. It also had not working. but still with the car. air conditioning. You'll see pics of the A/C unit in the car as well as the A/C/ lines under the hood that aren't hooked up. This car has the windshield washer fluid bag that has a slight leak at the neck of the bag. which is why it isn't hooked up. It also has the optional multi-speed wipers. This car has minimal rust on the frame and close to none on the body. The front suspension. i. e. ball joints. tie-rods. upper and lower A-arm bushings and more. has recently been re-done and. minus an alignment. is road ready. The car drives straight. but. in order to be "complete". it needs an alignment. Unlike other Fords of this period. the floorboards and the trunk are SOLID. Also. anybody that's been around these cars knows that the rear bumpers are the first thing to rot off and you'll see in the pics that there's a new one on the car. The hole that was put into the tranny well to accommodate the 4-speed manual has been properly welded back to it's original state using that body panel from the donor 64 Galaxie that the drivetrain came out of. The tires are the downfall of this car because they are weather cracked and need airing up on a regular basis. There are four. matching. factory hubcaps on the car as well. Included with this car will be two Galaxie 500 XL front bucket seats. a black back seat. and a matching front and rear blue bench seats that came out of the donor car. I have the warranty plate pic posted for you to run the numbers to prove this car's lineage. These cars. when fully restored. will fetch $30k with no problem so please don't low-ball this car. Even if you don't plan on getting this thing back to factory. you have a great blank canvas for an amazing project car that runs. drives. and stops with no problems. There are multiple people asking me why the VIN listed in the item description is different than the one that the Warranty Plate has. I'll just paste on here what I said to one other person on this topic:When I got this car. it was in such bad shape and had been modified by so many people that I only know about the car what I could find out by myself by going over what little of the car was left that was factory. From that little bit that was left. I found the warranty plate. the VIN from the title. and the one plate that was left on the passenger side firewall and ran the numbers to see what they all meant. I found a few guys that said that the VIN listed on the title could be different from the door tag because when they sold it from the fleet that they would have had to change the registration. I'm not trying to pull the wool over anybody's eyes. I'm just selling what I think I have and I am posting this to this auction so that everyone knows the answer to this question. I'm sorry for any confusion.
