Car description |
---|
Up for sale is a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. This caroriginally came from the Dearborn factory with the Big Block 390 (S Code), and an automatic transmission. On top of that, it was an original GT car (reference Marti Report) with Candyapple Red exterior paint and aRed "deluxe" interior.
The car comes with mostall of the rear interior fiberglass and trim, along with front/rear seats. Boxesof miscellaneous parts go with the car as well. All of the glass looks to be in good condition, along with the chrome trim.
This car does need the typical rust repair. Mainly the bottoms of the PS rear fender, whichcouldprobably bepatched oryou could do complete rear fender switch. The DS rear fender has been replaced at some point, but still needs body work where it connects to trunk area. The rear frame rails look decent, refer to pictures. The floor pans have been replaced at some point and feel solid. Doors need bottom corners patched (due to lack of drainplugs), but otherwise are in decent shape.I would definitely save the originaldoors vs buying new ones. The front frame looks good other than the first 6-8 inches near the headlights....mainly where the battery has been sitting for decades, and where the bumper brackets bolt to the frame. They make patches for these sections which weld innicely.
Unfortunately I do not have the motor or transmission, but the good news is that this is a 1967 model. Therefore you can find a 390 block with a build date of 6 moths prior to the car's build date (3-22-1967) and you will have a Numbers matching car. Ford did not start stamping the VINsin the blocks until 1968. (For international buyers Ican assist you with finding the correct engineprior to shipment).
Car is located in Alexandria, KY and can be seen in person at any time.
Buyer is responsible for all transportation and shipping associated with the purchase. I will assist with loading the car onto the trail for transportation.
The car is sold as is where is without a warranty. Buyer's responsibility to inspect car prior to buying, as this is a 50+ year old car.
$1,000 Deposit due via PayPalwithin 24rs of auction's end (or buy it now).
