THIS IS A TRUE NO RESERVE AUCTION. YOU BID, YOU WILL WIN WHEN THE TIME EXPIRES WITH YOUR BID.
My wife and I recently purchased a five acre property with an 8,500 sq. ft. totally custom, gorgeous home on it. Under a tree in the front yard was this van. The owner of the home was a well-known and prominent attorney in Utah. He had previously served as the Governor's attorney. He told me that he had purchased the van about 30 years ago as a project for he and his son. They managed to spray the outside of the van, and never went beyond that. I offered him some money to keep the van on the property. I cleaned the gas tank, added a fuel pump, battery, and some fresh gas, and the engine jumped to life! Obviously, after having mostly sat for at least 30 years, I haven't taken the van on anything but a few drives around the block, but it's really fun shifting the manual gearbox with the shifter being on the steering column! The brakes are touchy, and undoubtedly, should be revised. The entire vehicle seems very sound, and original. I found all of the parts to complete the van on ebay for a total of around $500.00. I was going to finish it myself, but have way too much going on, and have five BMW's that are feeling very neglected. I live in Utah, and will assist the buyer in whatever arrangements for vehicle delivery. I am extremely flexible. I travel to California to surf quite often, and wouldn't mind putting it on a flatbed and towing it for the right price. Call me with any additional questions. Thanks! Matt (801) 899-5988
