Car description

1987 Mustang GT Foxbody T-Top

I want to start with a little backstory of this foxbody. I bought this about a year ago as a fun side project, over the past few years I had gotten away from working on cars, so I got this to slowly restore in my spare time. I've invested about $3,500 in parts over the past year while putting maybe 100 miles on it. This is an 87 mustang GT with t-tops and 90,000 original miles, as far as I know they made less than 900 t-tops in 1987. The car has come a long way in the past year but it's not perfect and I wouldn't consider it 100% finished but she does run and drive and she's a great weekend car. I'll do my best to list most of the parts but I'm sure I'll miss some stuff. I do have receipts from Amercanmuscle and LMR for most of the parts. Right before I bought the car the previous owner said he put a new clutch in it and did the transmission fluid. At some point in its life the last owner also installed gt40 cylinder heads.

Parts installed within the 12 months:

Exedy Stage 2 Clutch

New Carpet

Leather door panels

LED interior lights(including gauges)

Sparco Sprint seats with brackets(I have the original front and rear seats)

Door pins and bushings

Misc weather stripping

Gt40 lower and upper intake manifold

Mishimoto Radiator and Electric fans

SVE Coolant Hose Kit

Water pump

130 amp alternator and wiring

New Battery and lead wires

Sr Intake

Cobra wheels and tires

Koni Struts

Sway bar bushings

BBK H-pipe and cat back

New O2 Sensors

Walbro Fuel Pump

Speedo Cable

Black housed headlights

Misc bolts, nuts, sensors, hoses, wiring...too much to list.

The car is rust free but could use some body work. The previous owner had mentioned that the guys he bought it from said it was in a minor accident, he said someone backed into the rear of the car and pushed in the rear taillight panel. They had a body shop pull it out but it's not perfect, after that they decided to repaint the car and it wasn't the best paint job in the world. Looks okay from 15 feet but up close the paint is chipping and there's a few yellow spots. I would say it's a 6/10 exterior wise. Car does have a clean Colorado title in my name.

The T-tops leak, they need new seals but every time I tried to order them they were on backorder. The power steering pump has been leaking a bit, brakes should be replaced in the next 10k miles. It leaks a little oil from the rear main seal. No Radio but all the wires are there. No AC but the heat works fine. The Speedometer is off because it needs the correct gear for the speed sensor. It's a $5 dollar part but I'm not sure what gears are in the rear end, I believe 4.10's.

This would be an awesome little project for someone, I'll include every extra part I have including maximum motorsports subframe connectors and a catted x-pipe. She needs a little love to be perfect but I've already invested way too much and I have other things in my life that need attention. My loss is your gain. Let me know if you have any questions.
