Car description

1953 Ford F-100 for sale in Phoenix, AZ 85021

This 1953 Ford F-100 is far from your average 1953 Ford F100. Rather than stuff a big motor into an old truck, this vehicle began from the ground up with a Walden boxed steel chassis including Ford Mustang II front suspension and Ford 9-inch rear suspension coupled via quad-link and panhard rod assembly. All 4 corners are coil-over shocks with hydra-boost power assist disc brakes. Power comes from a Ford 392 cu. in. stroker motor (crate motor) with port injection via an Edelbrock Torker II manifold. March serpentine pulley system also services the AC Compressor for the Vintage Air air conditioning system. Coupling the 430 HP engine to the driveline is a Hughes 2500 RPM Stall Convertor matched to a beefed-up Ford AOD transmission. All engine electronics controlled by F.A.S.T. ECU. Rear-end features Auburn posi with 3.25:1 ratio gears. Sanderson headers connect to dual 30 inch stainless glass pack mufflers with stainless piping all the way back to rear bumper. Wheels are Salt Flat Specials by American Racing and measure 17x8 inches on all corners. 20 gallon fuel capacity is in rear of frame behind back axle with access under a bed slat. Access to the fuel tank is realized via a power assist device that rotates one of the bed panels up and out of the way.

Mated to this impressive chassis is a 1953 Ford F100 Cab and fenders, chopped top and shaved doors (with key fob activated door poppers), and an amazing paint job in Ford Oxford White (code YZ). Tinted glass all around. Front-tilt hood. Inside the sound-deadened and insulated cab is a SoCal AOD floor shift and Dakota Digital dash setup. Power steering via Ididit tilt column and Ford 2.5 turn lock-to-lock rack and pinion. Power windows. Pioneer stereo hidden beneath driver's seat with Clarion power amp behind passenger seat. Infrared remote control for radio/cd player. Electric wipers. Even the cowl vent for fresh air is remotely driven by an electric motor. Headlights are blue-dot tri-bar. 3rd eye brake-light installed beneath rear cab window above bed. Rear tail gate from 1953 Mercury pickup. Custom upholstery and carpeting in cab.

This vehicle is ready to go and has less than 2000 miles since build. The AC system is more than adequate for Phoenix summers and WITHOUT overheating. If you are ready for a show-ready, head-turning pickup truck that is amazingly comfortable to drive and is very stable at any speed yet tested (90 mph is only 2200 RPM). There are many, many more features and, of course, all receipts (showing expenditures far above asking price). No expense has been spared to include the best of the best on this beauty. Must see to truly appreciate.
