You are looking at a real deal 1968 Ford Mustang S Code 390 GT fastback. This car has a 390 GT engine, with a 4 speed Close ratio toploader 4 speed with a 9" rearend. This car was equipped from the factory with this powerful and strong drivetrain, making it one of the most desirable Mustang models ever built.
This car starts right up, idles smooth, and cruises down the road effortlessly. It is really clean all over. Its very fun to drive and people will stare at the car everywhere you go and give you thumbs up.
The engine bay, inside, and underneath are all very clean. Inside the trunk is no different with nice painted trunk floors, a trap door that hasn't been cut for speakers, and a nice trunk mat.
The car has power disc brakes so it stops just at good as it goes.
Its an extremely desirable and beautiful color combination. Candy Apple red with black interior. Candy apple red is the cars original color. The car came nicely equipped with options from the factory as shown on the marti report.
This is not a concourse car, but a very nice driver that you can proudly drive around town.
This car still has all of its GT features such as the Fog light grille, Dual Exhaust, GT badging, GT Gas Cap, Disc Brakes and GT suspension.

Interior:All interior is intact and nice. Has an 8k tachometer which is a very nice option and it works. Folddown rear seat. All interior panels are nice. Interior is complete and not missing anything. Carpet slightly faded, headliner has been sewn in a couple places. I can put headrests seats in this car if the new owner wants them. I can also supply a console for the car if agreed on in the price.
Glass:All glass is in great shape. Windows roll up and down very nicely.
Suspension and brakes:Factory style suspension. Front Power Disc Brakes. Newer shocks and some bushings. 9" Rearend
Body and Paint:This car was originally candy apple red and it still is. The body of the car is very straight. The frame rails are floor pans are very solid. The floor pans are very clean and have no rust and they look great. The paint is driver quality. The car has had some paint work before. It has chips here and there. For this to be a 65k car I would have it painted but it looks great the way it is in my opinion. Im sure its has some body work before in its life. It is 50 years old.
The trunk is nicely detailed. Has a new gas tank, the trunk has been painted red on the trunk floors and has a nice trunk floor liner. The trunk presents well. The engine bay is clean and nicely detailed. The front aprons have been changed at some point in the car life.
Car has the door tag and VIN tag under the passenger windshield on the dash which is the legal VIN for 1968.
With a few improvements this is a 65k car being a Candy Apple Red S Code 390 GT 4 speed.

The car is 50 years old and has many original parts, so don’t expect a perfect car. It’s a very rare and desirable car. Payment must be made via Bank Wire (preferred), in person with cash, cashier’s check can be sent but must clear the bank first. Full payment has to be made within 3 days of the auction end. Failure to make full payment gives me the option to sell the car to another buyer and breaches contract.
