Car description |
---|
Up for sale is 1993 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. This vehicle was retired from the town of Scituate, MA Water Department. This model year Crown Victoria with the P71 street package is very rare to find as the Chevy Caprice era was still going strong until the mid 90's.
Car starts right up and engine runs strong and quite. Car has been sitting for some time since it was taken out of service. The brake system is in need of replacement includingnew brake lines, pads, rotors, and calipers before it can be driven. The fuel line is also heavily rusted and has a minor leak. The minor leak over time caused heavy rust on the drivers side rocker panel and rear quarter where the lines run behind. This is very common with all Crown Vics.
The exterior paint is the original and shows heavy signs of wear.
The interior of this car is inimmaculatecondition for its age. The car was issued to a supervisor and only used during normal business hours. The original car phone is still on the front floor.
The odometer stopped working at 98,454 miles. The previous owner estimates the car to currently have approx 120k.
The AC will need to be recharged. Heat works great.
Power windows and door locks workintermittently. All other interior options appear to work great. Even the original clock still works!
All exterior lights, blinkers etc all appear to work great.
Last passed Massachusetts safety andemissionsinspection in 10/2014. Paper work included. The car is currently actively registered and insured.
Again this car starts and runs fine but due to the bad brakes car will need to be towed or put on a car carrier when picked up. E-brake still works tomaneuvercar short distances.
The parts for these cars are cheap and a dime a dozen. I initially purchased this as a restore project however I simply no longer have the time, space or mechanical resources.
This car would be make great addition to a police car collector/restorer or even a 1990's themed movie prop.
Car is being sold AS IS. I have described this car to the best of my ability. Any questions feel free to contact anytime.
Thank you.
