Car description |

I am selling this car for my uncle who is selling it (and others to come soon!) to settle an estate.
For your consideration is a early production 1964.5/1965 Mustang convertible D code power top car. This car was in the beginning stages of restoration when we found it and overall this is a very solid car. The floors, rockers and frame extensions are all very solid with only a small area on the driver side rear frame extension where the metal is starting to thicken due to rust, an easy repair. The car was somewhat disassembled when we found it and my uncle has assembled it with the parts that we had in the room as well as priming the car (with primer we found in the garage) to cover areas of bare metal to prevent surface rust. The car is mostly filler free (from what we observed in the areas they had stripped to bear metal) and all the areas of concern can be seen in the pictures. All glass is installed in the car and in good shape with the chrome on the vent windows in really good shape. The engine appears to be the original "D" code 289 4 barrel with generator. The engine will need rebuilt and currently isnt turning, no attempt has been made to lubricate or break the engine free. Attached is the transmission that is also assumed to be original. The car has black interior (Pony seats) and was last painted red.The power top assembly appears to be complete but no vinyl top is included. This is a very solid car that obviously needs a complete restoration and currently isnt running or stopping but it will roll freely. The car retains many of its original 1964.5 specific parts including the headlight/fender extensions and the hood.
Feel free to contact me though eBay or call 937-232-6507 Don.

The car does NOT have Pony seats. After typing the listing I realized that I was confusing the interior of this car with another car- this car does NOT have the Pony seats but regular black seats.
