Car description

1972 Ford Ranchero 500, very low mileage showing 46k on odometer believed to be original based on receipts. Excellent mechanical condition throughout, restored in 2002-2004 at approximately 26k miles with new paint in original color (Gold Glow), re-chromed bumpers, new 302 engine and C6 transmission and mostly everything else has been rebuilt--front and rear brakes and all brake components, engine components, and drive train components for which there are a stack of receipts.
This is an original NC vehicle which was sold in Dunn, NC and still retains the original bill of sale and original owner's documents. This car has been in NC its whole life and has not been registered out of the State. This is the reason it is so clean and rust free. It has not seen salty roads in the winter! There is no rust and no rust bubbles on the body. The lower rockers and bottom of the fenders are excellent and are very clean. You can still see the original factory spot welds on the lower rockers. The chassis/frame is excellent as well. It is very hard to find one this clean and rust free in this condition!
Mechanically the car is well sorted. In 2009 a mild cam was installed along with a shift kit. The car also has dual exhaust and has a great exhaust note when accelerating and idling. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge was added under the dash and the car maintains excellent oil pressure when it is running. All gauges work-speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, temp gauge, and all lights. The air conditioning was just serviced this past week and blows cold. Tires are near full tread, brakes stop the car perfectly, and there are no strange noises or vibrations. It drives wonderfully and is fun to drive! The interior is very nice. The bench seat is in great condition and appears to be original fabric with no rips or tears or holes; the door panels are clean and straight and nice, and the dash pad has no cracks. The exterior paint is clean and presents very well. The vinyl top is near perfect with no rust bubbles or tears or anything of the sort. The body has no evidence of accidents, all panels fit well-doors open and close well with great gaps, hood opens and closes well with straight and even gaps on both sides and the pickup gate opens and closes perfectly. The bed is super clean looks as though it never has hauled anything--with no scratches, no dents. The only addition is a JVC CD/radio mounted under the dash. This vehicle has been very well taken care of over the years with much money spent on it to bring it to its current wonderful condition. You couldn't duplicate this car for what we are asking for it-it would cost much more to restore one.
