1957 Thunderbird Project

Full restoration project with most of the parts there. Body is rust free but I think a couple of small patch jobs should be redone. Also somebody did some body sculpturing on the right rear passenger side with excessive bondo. No rust or accident showing in this area. Just looks like an amateurish job of fairing to me. Still lots of body work to be done to make it perfect, none if you wanted to make it into a rat rod. This was originally an automatic. There is a hard top but no convertible. There are lots of bits and pieces that go with it including seat, windshield, steering column, most of the bumper pieces, moldings, etc.
Engine is complete with starter, carb, generators, etc. Three speed over drive transmission is complete with bell housing, solenoid, shifter, clutch, pedal assembly, etc. The engine and transmission are not original but where in running condition from another 57 bird. Also included is a new bolt on power rack and steering system from Uni- Steer($2,100. new).Steering is not hooked up and the drivetrain is out of the vehicle which may present shipping problems.
