Car description

1987 Mustang GT Convertible. SUPER CLEAN and ORIGINAL. 77K ORIGINAL MILES. Third documented Owner!
ALL known and DOCUMENTED history and Service records from 1990. NO accidents. Clear and CLEAN Car-fax. Have Marti Report and original window sticker too!
I am the third owner of this GT. I purchased it in June 2014 from the second who bought the car in 1991 with 7K miles on it. I purchased it with 76,700 miles on it. It has ALWAYS been garaged. The second owner was a coworker of the original owner who purchased the GT from Backus FORD in Stafford Springs CT. . They are both College Professors in CT.
I have ALL documentation including the original window sticker. I have ALL service records (Always serviced at Ford Dealer-Colony FORD) given to me by second owner! I even have all the DMV inspection reports for the past 13 years for this GT. The next owner will be given ALL records, receipts and other official documents that are all included my loose-leaf binder with all other related provenance.
I would NOT hesitate to drive this GT ANYWHERE! It runs and drives like an ABSOLUTELY NEW CAR! It has ZERO squeaks or even rattles! I LOVE driving this GT, but unfortunately don't use it much. I do drive this GT to local car shows and cruise nights on occasion. It has always won some type of trophy or given some other type of recognition every time it is in some type of show or cruise night. It is that clean and original!
EVERY light and/or switch works on this GT. From the factory radio + equalizer, to the courtesy lights in the rear-view mirror! The ONLY item, non-factory stock is the strut-brace I added. (which is removable) It improved the ride and handling immensely, without sacrificing any smoothness in the ride or handling. The clutch was replaced at 70K by Colony Ford and new brakes done then as well. I installed an adjustable clutch cable and associated hardware to replace the antiquated factory setup. Another HUGE improvement! EVERY panel, fender, door, trunk, etc. still has the factory VIN sticker on it! This GT still has the air-box silencer installed. If you know 5.0's this is usually the first thing to disappear! THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE! This is not an abused and altered GT!
I just replaced the original struts/shocks with KYB gas shocks. What a difference! The tires have less than 150 miles on them. I also replaced all the strut bushings with poly Energy-Suspension components. As I said, this GT rides and handles like NEW! It is AMAZING! I also installed a complete cat-back MAC exhaust. It sounds great! I also just replaced the original fuel pump, as the original was getting a little noisy. I have gone over EVERY inch of this GT. I have replaced ANYTHING that was either showing wear or was not efficient anymore. I have even cleaned and replaced all of the throttle body related gaskets on the 5.0. AS I said, it runs like NEW! I even replaced and upgraded all the speakers in the GT. I refused to modify the original wiring to the new speakers, so I installed new speaker wire harness adapters. There is no "butchering" of any wiring. I have all the original speakers etc, saved. I never throw any original stuff away! You get an extra on of replaced items that come with the GT. These are just a few of the "latest" upgrades I did. If I list EVERYTHING done, this listing will take hours! Lol.
I will list below what is new:

I always use Motorcraft parts or top quality name and factory authorized parts when Motorcraft wasn't available.

Take a good look at the photos, the GT does have a few road-chips here and there. The drivers seat and seat-belt do have a little very minor wear. The rug is in great shape but slightly faded from sun. As I said, it is ALL ORIGINAL! The original top was replaced in '07 (top/pads/rear glass)but still looks and feels new! It cost $1100.00 professionally done. I have the invoice. It was always garaged and under a cover in a climate controlled garage since '91! Please feel free to email me with any questions? I VERY reluctantly wish to sell, but I need the garage space, and have only driven this GT less than 800 miles in the past 4 years!

I will store the GT for you for up to 14 days as long I am paid in full. I will ONLY accept a bank wire transfer or CASH in person. GT and/or title will NOT be released until paid in full.

I am not interested in ANY trades unless you have a Car Hauler Ramp/Wedge truck to haul my Vintage race Car! If you are looking for an under 10K GT, please don't waste my time! Anything under that price range is a worn out and abused, rusty and repainted rat! If you REALLY know Fox bodies, you know that already! I do have a REALISTIC reserve on it, which is the price I turned down a year ago at a local car show.
