This Mach1 “R” Code 428 SCJ is a very rare and very original car that comes with a fully framed EliteMarti Auto Works Report.

Born as a Mach 1, 2 dr SportRoof Fastback in Medium Bright Blue Metallic with Black Clarion Knit/ Corinthian Vinyl bucket seats. Options ordered were the 428 Super Cobra Jet engine with the 4 speed close ratio manual transmission, Drag Pack and Detroit Locker Differential with 4.30 locking axle ratio and Shaker Hood. Other options are the Black Hood Stripe, Convenience Group, AM/FM Stereo, Tinted Glass complete, Deluxe Seat Belts and Warning Light, Tachometer, Fold Down Back Seat, Rear Window Louvers and Rear Spoiler. The car was originally delivered ahead of schedule to Doug Bisbee Ford in Defiance Ohio.

This car was completely restored approximately 5 years ago and was then acquired from the Mustang Experts at Signature Auto (Home of Boss Cars). It’s been driven only 5-600 miles (approx) since then. The car is always been garage stored and is currently in Southern California. The odometer reads 51,754 miles.

The car retains its original engine, transmission and rear end differential. (Date code correct 428 CJ replacement block) The engine was completely rebuilt when the car was restored approximately 5 years ago and has approximately 5-600 miles on it. It is built strong, by a NASCAR engine builderand sounds mean! (watch video). The factory locker rear locks as it turns giving off that noticeable “clicking” sound. The car has the original drag pack oil cooler.

The car is straight, solid and the paint shows exceptionally well. Underneath the car is very clean and no signs of rust in the panels or undercarriage. The interior is exceptionally clean as is under the hood and throughout this car inside and out. Even the original clock still functions. Comes with Original Window Sticker as well.

While the car remains mostly original, performance modifications were added to the car, as it was raced early in its life, as were most factory SCJ cars. Modifications include 2 aftermarket gauges below the original AM FM stereo, a front brake line lock, traction bars, sub frame connectors, electric fuel pump, aluminum intake manifold, electronic ignition, high performance cooling systems and exhaust headers. All items changed could be easily modified back to original for the ultimate purist.

The car runs as good as it looks and provides the performance and driving experience of a BOSS 429 for a fraction of the cost. It will transport you back to 1970. This is a super rare and original Mustang Mach 1 428 SCJ in an awesome color and option combination (1 of 1) ! This is a rare find and for sure an appreciating asset in the collector car world!
