Car description |
---|
I am selling my 72 Mustang convertible. This is a documented 1 of 1 car per the Marti report (see image)
Scroll down for almost sixty images of the car
QCode 351CJ !! 4V heads !! C6 automatic
This car is well optioned (as per Marti report at bottom of pictures)
The car runs and drives excellent. The body is in great shape - with a minor paint flaw by the driver's door. It's hard to capture in a pic but was a repair to a paint chip - about the size of a softball.
There is no visible rust on the exterior of this car!!! No rust bubbles anywhere !!! No trunk rust!!
This was a Texas car (Dallas DSO 52)
I have not diagnosed the A/C but all the parts are there.
This car was originally 6F gold glow but was painted a correct 1972 color - 2B bright red by the previous owner.
The car currently has an Edelbrock 1405 4V carburetor with no choke. The original carb is a spreadbore quadrajet that needs rebuilding. Original carb is included in with the car.
Underside is 100% solid - no rust anywhere - except mild surface rust.
Interior is excellent. Driver seat is showing some wear (see pic)
Convertible top is excellent - with one small tear - about 1/4" long (see pic)
I do have the convertible top boot and boot bag - both in excellent shape.
FACTORY ORIGINAL (yes, OEM) Magnum 500s!! They have part numbers stamped in them (see pics).
Space saver spare tire, with canister.
There is a small trans pan drip.
Dash pad has a crack on passenger side off center. See pic towards bottom before trunk pic and Marti Reports.
Reproduction dash pads are available for $150-160 from various Mustang suppliers.
Removable mast antenna will not go with the car - original one will be put back on.
I have front bumperettes for the car. I took them off because I think the car looks better w/o them.
Car currently has Clarion CD/MP3 DIN stereo. Original (working AM/FM stereo goes with the car).
Car has camber eccentric eliminator plates.
I have added the concourse correct heavy duty battery cables since photo under hood was taken.
Battery has quick disconnect on it for winter storage with battery tender and theft deterrent.
NADA Average retail on the car with Q Code and AC is over $30k
This is not your average Mustang - as shown with the options and documentation, but my reserve is well under that.
Selling because I've always been a classic Cougar guy and I'm going back to my roots.
See pics, ask questions. Feel free to come see the car before you bid - or have a representative come for you.
