Ladies and Gentlemen, This OUTSTANDING PIECE OF AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY WON’T LAST! Fresh out of a local collection and with SCCA Registry history since birth (see attached pictures), this REAL DEAL SHELBY GT350 is the one you’ve been looking for. This is NOT a re-bodied car, we removed the driver fender to confirm that its factory Ford inner body VIN stamping is intact and correct. It is one of the last hundred or so ’66 GT350s produced and is in very good overall condition with a current odometer reading of 66,460 miles.
Under the hood lurks Ford’s famous and fierce 320+ HP Hi-Po K code 289 cubic inch V8 that was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago. It’s backed by a Borg Warner close ratio T10 4 speed (the engine and transmission are period correct), Ford 9” 3.89 Detroit Locker rear end, correct Koni shocks and original under-ride traction bars. To top it all off, it’s equipped with some perks that include an upgraded sound system that’s mounted in the unmodified factory spot, a working period correct under-dash air conditioning system and complementary upgraded aluminum radiator! The engine runs strong and reliably with its Edlebrock carb (its correct Holley comes with it) and mild performance cam. All gauges work, there’s plenty of tread left on the tires and all accessories are operational.
This beauty is very solid with no body panel issues or rust on the frame and the paint is in very good condition with only a few imperfections. The panel fitment is very good, it seems as though it’s never been in a major accident. Its last owner drove and enjoyed it. As a result, it’s not a trailer queen. However, it’s very nice and will hold its own at car shows. On the other hand, it won’t take too much to get her to trailer queen status if that’s what you’re looking for. Let us know if that’s the case as we have a full blown in-house restoration shop and are hereto help.
