Car description

This posting is for my 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, A Code 289 4V, 4 speed manual transmission car.

The only rust on the car is in the trunk. The interior floorpans and subframes are solid. The car will need new quarterpanels and trunk floor. The rear of the car appears to have been hit at some point due to the buckled trunk floor pan (see pictures). The driver side door was swapped with a K code door, so the original door tag is not on the vehicle. Aside from the quarters, the rest of the body is in great shape. All the stainless for the exterior is included and in good shape, this includes the front and rear windshield moldings, driprails, grille moldings, dual trumpet exhaust rear valance stainless, mirrors, and door handles. The headlight buckets and trim are included and in the trunk, as well as the front and rear bumpers.

The interior is extremely complete, including all the interior trim panels such as, the rear fastback panels, trap door, folding rear seat, both front seats, instrument panel, glove box, fog light switch (missing grille GT foglight assembly), and three piece clutch, disc brake pedal, and gas pedal. The dash has been cut around the stereo, which is a common problem with these early mustangs.

The car includes the factory 289 block. It’s been disassembled and machined but, needs reassembly. Inside the vehicle are several miscellaneous motor parts. The car also comes with the factory four speed manual transmission, bellhousing, clutch, Hurst shifters, and flywheel. The car is equipped with factory front disc brakes. The car comes with some old school 14” five spoke wheels, with the chrome center caps inside the car.

I’ve owned the car for about nine years. It’s been in the Arizona weather that entire time. Before I bought it, it was stored inside an old Arizona building for several years.

I don’t really want to sell the car but, other opportunities have presented themselves that I’d like to explore.
