Car description |
---|
This car was was found in a field in Northern California. Old number 13 is built and painted like an old competition car that could have run early drags lakes or Bonneville the car looks the part of old-time racing and has a great stance number 13 is made up using some of the following parts. 1928 to 1929 Coupe body all steel original with top removed. This is an all steel race car.
Frame unknown Channel with kick up and extended to feet.
Engine 24 stud flathead Ford
Transmission Ford truck
Rear end dirt track Quick Change early Ford housing.
Wheels are 16 in 1937 to 1939 Ford
Front axle early Ford.
Steering probably early Ford.
Radiator shell 32 Ford truck.
Seat appears to be aircraft.just a note the Flathead engine will probably run if it turns over. I believe for old number 13 to drive down the road the transmission could be change the passenger style 1939 optional the rear end could be changed early Ford 1928 to 1948 and shortened. The 32 Ford radiator could be used. A rebuilt single Stromberg carburetor is advisable. And the car needs all the usual fuel tank, gas line, wiring, brakes, clutch.
I was also amazed that all the advertising on the car was hand-painted and done extremely well.
I only have a bill of sale there are no VIN numbers on the car. I do know however you could get a VIN number done by highway patrol if you wanted to make this a nice rat rod for the street. Either way I think it's a beautiful car and for the right person I think will make you very happy
There's a lot of history in this car. As you can see very little surface rust if any. and the car is held up very well
