1965 Mustang Fastback - Down South rust free car.
This is a perfect car for someone to take to the next level. Shelby clone? Back to original? Either way you are starting with a solid base. The body and undercarriage, frame rails and floorsare extremely solid. I peeled the carpet back so you can see that the original floors are in great condition, topside and underneath. The typical areas where they rust are in really nice condition. Tops of the shock towers, the door jams, door seams, trunk seams, trunk drop off pans, trunk itself, and cowl vents are rust free. Please note that the driver side fender apron was replaced a long time ago. I have the door tag and assume that VIN stamping is under the passenger side apron. The car also comes with a shelby hood. The engine is a crate motor with less than 100 miles on it. The PO had it installed then the car went into storage. It fired right up (literally). It needs a new key, I hot wired it to ensure it was good. I have a video of the engine running. Send me your email and I will send it to you. It idles smooth and has good throttle response. It has MSD electronics, nice cobra valve covers, and long tube headers. To be clear, I haven't driven the car yet. The brakes need to be gone through (4 way drum). It is a manual 3 speed with all the linkage in place. If someone wants to convert it, I have a 4 speed toploader for an additional cost. The interior is in really good condition. The seats do not have any rips in them. It has a fold down rear seat (there are a couple of drilled holes in the trap door). All the interior fiber glass panels are in great condition. The dash pad is in great condition as well. The headliner is really nice but needs to be glued at the front and back windows. The front and rear windshield are in amazing condition with new seals. They are placed in the openings. I can rope them in if you want. I didn't set them in case the buyer was going to disassemble the car. As an option, for an additional cost, we can restore the car to your liking. We specialize in mustang restorations. Check out our FB page - Motorcity Grind. If the car doesn't sell then I'll keep it and put it in line for restoration. It's that nice. Currently I have too many client cars. That's the only reason for selling it. They take precedent over my personal cars. Please ask questions before you bid. Buyer pays for shipping. The title will be sent after payment is received. I am happy to work with the shipper of your choice. Thanks and good luck!
