Car description |
---|
1965 Ford F-100 was ordered by the Air Force and used at McChord AFB near Tacoma. The next owner was the Camas, WA School District in October, 1976. The school district sold it in March, 1988. There are original, detailed service records available for the entire time the school district owned it
It has a 240 straight six in it and a three speed on the column. It runs and drives fantastic. This is one that you could drive home without a worry. The engine and transmission do not leak. Within the last two years it has received a new rebuilt carburetor, distributor, master cylinder, two brake lines and fuel pump. The transmission was rebuilt shortly after being sold by the Camas School District.
I believe the seat has been replaced or recovered at some point--there is one small rip on the driver side evidenced by the tape. I added the bullet hub covers and chrome lug nuts. The truck appears to have had a lumber or ladder rack on it at some point due to the marks on the cowl where it likely mounted.
There is some rust in the driver side floorboard but it is safe and fully intact. If you have questions about anything I encourage you to ask. I will get answers, answer honestly and can send other pictures if needed.
I encourage all buyers to have the truck inspected prior to bidding. The truck is being sold as-is and will need to be picked up. There is no warranty expressed nor implied.
