Car description |

Up for sale is my PROJECT 68 Mustang. I am the second owner of this original no rust Mustang coupe. I purchased the car thru a broker in 2005, it was purchased from the Estate of the original owner. The car had been garaged and stored since 1985, when the elderly owner stopped driving it.
I flushed all the lines, bought some inexpensive tires and a battery, got it running smooth after the twenty year sleep. But it didn't stop there. One of my friends suggested converting it to a restomod and talked about the 5 speed fun I could have. So.................
First of all, I travel and work away from home. SO I started this project in my rented shop in Huntington Beach California. Later, because I relocated to Virginia, I put the car in my condo in Vegas, where I also did some work, then, about four years ago, I shipped it to Northern Illinois, where I had a large home with a 3 car heated garage. And that's where it is now, in Belvidere Illinois, about 75 miles from Chicago.
I disassembled the car over the past 13 years. It is RUST FREE. all original floor pans, trunk pan, etc. The front fenders and clip had lots of dents, the hood was dented, so long story short, I had aftermarket front sheet metal, including the headlight fender extensions, valance, grill, bumpers, all new from the suppliers
The car was originally a C4 automatic. It was converted to a world class T-5 manualNew, not used. It is connected along with the correct modern cable clutch and rebuilt pedals
Brakes are Willwood front discs, rear 8" housing also has discs. Wilwood master cyl
Vintage A/C and heat system. Rebuilt gauges with new bezel and new dash "camera case" trimTCI one piece headliner and package tray. I also have the rods and an original style headliner.
Torque Thrust American racing wheels with new tires. All new Interior seats, foam and upholstery redone in original teal green. ACC teal carpet kit. Lots of Scott Drake parts, like seat belts, new dash pad, new winshield, new gaskets front and rear, new bumpers, new tail lights, new trim pieces, new door panels, all new window regulators, new door hardware, actuators, lock rods,
new dual exhaust system with h pipe, engine was redone and added edelbrock manifold, ne, new holley 600 manual choke. Factory style scott Drake manual choke cable.
The original wiring is all there, BU, I purchased a Ron Francis wiring Kit to modernize the car, it is included. There is too much to list, but I will be happy to respond to serious potiential buyers
I am relocating very soon to Colorado, so I must sell this gem.
The car needs ASSEMBLY. It does not drive or run. All of the parts, including all suspension springs, Borgenson power steering box and pump, new radiator 3 core, has never seen the roqd.
It has all been mocked up and is ready for someone to quickly complete and drive or fliplots of new and trick partsSuspension is "grab a track" I will add more photos soon
NEW tru trac 3.50 posi,
Too much to list email questions
Thanks, Mitch
