Car description

This is a very desirable blue chip collectible!
And talk about rare! The first generation of the early Bronco was built from 1966-1977, with a total of 225,585 produced. U13 Roadsters like this one were only built in '66, '67, and '68, with a total of only 5000 built over that 3-year production run. According to Bronco experts, there are probably less than 150 in existence today, and only perhaps only 10 or so restored to original condition. This truck is so rare that I'd never even heard of such a vehicle and figured that a Bronco without doors or a roof would have been some aftermarket custom job or something. Guess again this truck is the real deal, 100% as-built by Ford Motor Company.
The Rarity of a True 1966 Ford Bronco RoadsterMost people don't know the rarity of a true 1966 Ford Bronco Roadster. Most of the roadster styled Broncos that you see are cloned from Bronco wagons (VIN U15)and Bronco half cabs (VIN U14). A true Roadster (VIN U13)
Have you noticed that these early Broncos are only increasing in value?

If this is restored right, this could be a $100,000 BRONCO!!!
To wit: A rare and highly restored 1968 Ford Bronco Custom pickupsold for $82,500at the Barrett-Jackson in Arizona, and Mecum sold one in Florida last week for $110,000, a world record price fora special edition Bronco.(The world record for any Bronco sold at auction is $500,000, fora 1969 Broncosold in 2013.) ( THIS WAS 1/25/17) PRICES HAVE GONE UP!
PLEASE CHECK EBAY FOR WHAT THE RESTORED ONES ARE SELLING FOR!!
Please look at the vin stamped on the frame (see picture). It has a star, front and back. It was asecuritything. Its pretty easy for anyone to come up with number stamps, but a bit more challenging to get a star. This bronco has this security feature. THE VIN PLATE AND FRAME NUMBERS MATCH. PLEASE SEE PICTURES.

It needs to be noted that there is no such thing as a "numbers matching" ford Bronco (that I am aware of). VIN numbers weren't stamped on the motor or transmission. The motor and transmission are period correct as well as all the other components. (EXCEPT 1 OF THE HUBS) One of the 4x4 hubs is different. I do not know which one is period correct. Also the rims are not period correct. I also do not know about the roll bar.
This FORD BRONCO has a very early build date. MFG AUGUST 1965 THE FIRST MONTH THE BRONCO WAS BUILT AND IT IS A U13!!!
BREAK DOWN OF VIN. 1-3 U13 BRONCO U-100 ROADSTER
4 ENGINE-FL6 170
5- PLANT L MICHIGAN TRUCK
6-8 MOD YR/MFG DATE 737- 1966 (MFG AUG 1965)
6-11 SEQUENTIAL SERIAL #737353
The period correct starter was taken out and rebuilt. It comes with the bronco.
BRONCO DOES NOT RUN. (Really does not matter, needs full restoration, top to bottom, to get top dollar) Motor does turn over by grabbing the fan and turning. Unknown about rest of it.
Some body mounts are rusted going to the frame. There looks to be only surface rust on the frame. Body rust all over. (The good is, very easy to get replacement body parts!)
This bronco needs total restoration. Hood, fenders, floor pans, windshield, everything.
The shifter is disconnected. The transmission is in neutral. The bronco does roll.
Needs all brake and fuel lines.
The seat is shot.
The pictures tell the story. ( and are part of the description)
The odometer say's just turning 17,000 miles. No way to tell if accurate.
Clear title says millage exempt.
A $500 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction end. The balance is due via wire transfer within 3 Business days of the auction end or vehicle will be relisted.
