Car description |
---|
A lot of time and expense went into this build by the owner of Bob's Customs and Rods, Upland, CA, as his personal show car. The body and running gear were built separately and then assembled. Less then three thousand miles on car since it was built.
Originally a coupe, this steel bodied car was converted to a chopped Carson Top convertible with a completely boxed in frame. The dash was replaced with one from a 1948.
This car is powered by a 350 cid V8 with three deuces mated to a TH350 automatic transmission. It is fitted with a Fat Man rack and pinion power steering and four wheel disc brakes. The entire undercarriage is either painted the body color or chromed.
Also featured are ice cold vintage air, power windows, remote power door openers, electric trunk opener and AM/FM/CD player.
An adjustable air ride suspension is controlled with switches and gauges in the console or by remote control.
The green and white interior is completely hand made to fit this vehicle.
The extensive chromed engine compartment and upholstered trunk can both be highlighted with green LED lights as well as the green lighted VDO gauges and shift handle. The front signal lights are integrated into the headlights.
The 15" chromed wheels sport wide whitewall P195R15 tires on the rear and 165R15 on the front.
My insurance company insured this car for a stated appraised vale of $60,000.
You can view a video and numerous photos of this car from a previous sale at: www.motoexotica.com/inventory/listng/1941-ford-street-rod-coupe/ or http://costomrodder.forumactif.org/t3549-1941-ford-emerald-illusion
At the age of 77 I am downsizing and losing my temperature controlled storage. If not sold on this listing the car will be for sale on Space IN 20 (near gate 3) at Spring Carlisle.
Included with this car will be a new custom fitted car cover, a couple of magazines featuring this show car and a few pictures shot during the build.
One thousand dollar deposit required upon sale and remainder to be paid before shipment. I can help you with arranging shipping if you desire.
