Car description

I have a 1966 Ford Falcon Extended Travel Wagon for sale.
I purchased this van years ago in Willits, California. I had it hauled back to Pennsylvania where it has been driven up until this past year. This van is the "cool factor"! It is a head turner and everyone wants to stop to talk to you about it. You'll get thumbs up, waves and compliments!
This Travel Wagon is the extended model and has the 240ci engine with automatic transmission. The automatic transmission is somewhat rare in these 1961-1967 Econoline vans as most were 3-speed. The van has new tires, hoses, starter and water pump. The van is currently a blank slate inside as the previous owner removed the camping equipment. I did purchase a rusted out Econoline Travel Wagon for parts and pulled all the camping equipment. Cabinets, sink and cabinet, stove, fridge, cots and even a spare pop top in great condition are included in this listing! I planned on using the cabinets from the parts van as templates to build new ones as they aren't in the best condition, but they are all original. The body of the van has minor imperfections and some rust bubbles, however there is no cancerous rot. It is one of the most solid 61-67 Econoline vans you will find! The passenger side rear corner will need to be replaced as shown in the photos. This is how I purchased it. The factory spec patch panel is included in the listing. The underside is clean and still has some of the original factory undercoating. There are also two fuel cells for those long road trips.
The van is 50+ years old and will need some work. It is not currently running as it may need a wiring harness. Up until last year I drove it often with no major issues. One day I went to start it and wouldn't start. Upon closer inspection there were a few wires in the engine bay that were cracked. These wires may be able to be repaired but for peace of mind you may want to put in a complete new harness. A new harness will run you about $400. I did plan on re-wiring the van myself but was recently involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. I have months of therapies and doctors visits ahead and don't know when I would get to it and my multiple other projects. There seems to be a small drip as pictured to the rear of the trans where the driveshaft connects. I've never had any mechanical issue with it and believe it is a seal. It is something minor but wanted to be sure to point it out. It would be great to see this van rolling down the road again. Although, in need of some work, this van is in better condition than 95% of other 61-67 Econoline vans out there for sale! It has been garage kept out of the Northeast weather ever since I purchased it.
Travel Wagons are very hard to find these days, especially in good condition. You will be hard pressed to find another one! If you are looking for a vintage camper van and want the "cool factor" without the VW price tag, this van is for you. I have included photos of other Travel Wagons partially or completely restored as an example.
There is a clear Pennsylvania title in MY name for this van.
I feel my asking price is fair, however I am open to serious offers. Please don't low ball me with the "$1000 today?" type offers. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am located in the Lehigh Valley area about an hour from NYC and Philadelphia. Sorry, I cannot ship or transport, however I will work with any shipper YOU send if fully paid. Cash or certified bank check are the only forms of payment accepted. NO PAYPAL! Payment is required IN FULL within 7 days of purchase. Due to the rising costs of doing business on eBay, a $250 fee will be added to the final sale price if, and only if the sale is completed on eBay. In person cash sales will not incur the $250 fee. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or would like to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me. Text is usually the best way to reach me. 484.223.9186. Thanks for checking out my listing! (The blue Super Van in one of the pictures has been sold.)
