We are selling our weekend cruiser. The Galaxy 500 XL convertible is a classic. Long and Low. This is a solid survivor. We have owned it for years. She is better than a fifty footer but needs some tender loving care to make her complete. Bucket seats and a Hurst Slap Stick floor shifter make the drive comfortable and exciting.
I believe the motor is a 302. Not sure if the motor is original. The electric top works but it needs recovered. We were going to do it, but we have never driven it when we needed a top.
The frame appears good and the whole car is solid except a couple of spots in the trunk. The gas tank was replaced before we bought it, and the workmanship was pretty weak. We just put gas in it and it has a small drip. The headlights are hidden and swing open when turned on. This is a neat feature.
The wheels are Cragar ss, a classic look, and the tires are nice.. They need some cleaning. The whole car is ready for some touch up, and minor repairs. She needs some steel wool and never dull and a special person to make her as nice as your budget can afford. She is a weekend cruiser. Not a show car. Guaranteed to turn heads and get a ton of thumbs up!
Be sure to hit me with questions before bidding. I am happy to answer you.
Thanks, and happy bidding. She could be your new spring project.
