Car description |
---|
This is a 1955 Ford F100 roller RAT ROD project no motor or transmission. Truck has 63 years of great patina original paint except the passenger door has been replaced. Has a Trans Am sub frame front end and a Trans Am positraction rear end. Fabrication work on frame assembly appears to be well done. I believe the truck will drive, handle and ride very well when completed. Front clip is temporarily attached will need frame horns extended and a more permanent mounting solution. Disc brakes front and rear will need rebuilt and brake system finished. Rear end is mocked up saddles are tacked and will need final welds. Steers and rolls easily. No glass but it is readily available on eBay. Body is very solid relatively minor rust issues considering its age, does have numerous dents but they don't seem to detract from the look. Will come with the inner fenders, front running board supports, set of sbc long tube headers, heater assembly, hood hinges, xtra door hinges, power steering pump, brake booster and master cylinder and a pair of decent s10 bucket seats. Tires and wheels are included. I have a clean clear Kansas Title. Mileage is unknown.
Now on to the good stuff. Truck is being relisted as my previous buyer got cold feet. This project is not for the faint of heart, the novice or for dreamers. I have done these projects in the past and if I were a little younger woulddefinitely keep it for myself. In my opinion this is not a truck to do a show car restoration on. Would be much cheaper to buy one already done. Would make a great Rat Rod driver you could build how you like. You will need skills, imagination, tools and time to make this truck what you want. But in the end you will have a badass ride. Please be certain this is what you want before you bid. Thanks
