1990 FORD MUSTANG 5.0 NO HEAT OF AC IN CAR, I BELIEVE THE AC WAS REMOVED BY PREVIOUS OWNER. THE PORTS ARE STILL THERE. HE TOOK IT TO THE TRACK. THE CAR SAT FOR APROX 2 1/2 YEARS WHILE MY SON WAS IN COLLEGE. IT WAS HIS CAR. WE HAVE OWNED IT FOUR YEARS. SO I HAD TO REFRESH IT BECAUSE WE ARE SELLING IT.
THE CAR HAS A REBUILT ENGINE. CAR IS LOWERED BY 1 INCH IN FRONT 2 INCH THE BACK (STEEDA LOWERING SPRINGS) I BELIEVE. BRAND NEW POWER STOP SLOTTED AND DRILLED FRONT BRAKES, 306, T5 (WITH SHORT SHIFTER) 5 SPEED, 8.8 3.55 REAR, GT40 INTAKE, 70MM THROTTLE BODY, NEW ACCELL COIL, NEW FUEL FILTER, OIL CHANGE, STEEDA LOWERING SPRINGS, STRANGE AXLES, TRICK FLOW STAGE 1 CAM, PORTED E7 HEADS, 4 INCH FIBERGLASS HOOD, NEWER FORD RACING WIRES, NEWER CAP AND ROTOR (BOTH WITH ABOUT 5000 MILES ON THEM), NITROUS BOTTLE WITH LINES INSTALLED, NEW 255 WLLBRO FUEL PUMP, NEW WINDSHIELD DONE BY SAFELITE, NEW WINDOW AND DOOR SEALS, NEW HATCH SEALS, NEW ARM REST PADS, BBK HEADERS, X PIPE, FLOWMASTERS ETC.
UNFORTUNATLY THE CAR HAS ENGINE TROUBLE. JUST FOUND OUT #2 AND #3 HAVE NO COMPRESSION. SO EITHER THERE ARE VALVE OR PISTON ISSUES OR BLOWN HEAD GASKET.THERE WAS SOME RUST ON THE A PILLAR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THAT I FIXED WITH FIBERGLASS AND PAINTED OVER (SEE PICS). TIRES ARE ABOUT 1/2 WORN. THE CAR HAS 1.7 FORD RACING PEDASTAL MOUNT ROLLER ROCKERS I TRIED TO READJUST BUT THAT DIDNT HELP. NEEDS A LEAK DOWN TEST TO DIAGNOSE PROBLEM. THE REAR END NEEDS AS NEW PINION SEAL AND MAIN SEAL AS IT IS LEAKING. CAR RUNS AND DRIVES ON THE REMAINING CYLINDERS. STARTS RIGHT UP. CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND MAY END AUCTION EARLY.
