1985 Ford Ranger 4x4, 5 speed, 2.3 engine
4x4 works great, manual hubs, 5 speed shifts smooth, 2.3 EFI engine runs very strong/ pulled from a 92 Ranger. Has bench seat from a 92 ranger. Appears to have a 2 inch lift.
All New Fluids (receipts included)- oil, trans, differentials, coolant. New front brake pads & rotors. New air filter. New battery (manufactured date1/18). Spare tire. This was my daily driver, now I just use it when it snows (4 Low pushed through 18 inches of snow earlier this year). Timken brand bearings up front that I recently cleaned & repacked when I did the front brakes.. Always starts up, doesn't blow smokeor leak any oil.
The windshield has a crack. 2 of the tires are getting to the point they will need replaced soon if your state has strict inspections. Needs water pump (old owners installed with wrong gasket sealant) have not gotten around to fixing this so there is a slow leak but I have just been adding antifreeze.. about a gallon per month over the summer/ less winter. The body has surface rust & dents. Underneath looks very nice. 12Volt receptaclein bed that I honestly never tested. All lights work including clearancelights (missing 1 orange cap).
Truck is 33 years old and being sold as is. There is no warranty.
Truck is roadworthy, trustworthy, and I would drive it anywhere and often take it on 50 mile round trips. I'm an adult, I drive it like a human being, and use good gas. I rinse off the undercarriage after every winter storm. Contact me with any questions, I'll do my best to answer them. Located in Boulder, Colorado. Buyer responsible for pick up.
