1948 Ford Custom Business Coupe

This is a very nice 1948 Ford Business Coupe with all Ford running gear. This is a highly sought-after model with just the right amount of subtle mod's, not over the top. It is what hot rodding is all about. We have enjoyed it for about 7 years. Now it's time for someone else to have some fun. Body and paint work consists of House of Kolor Pearl White & Brandy Wine With Purple/Gray/and Black fading and graphics. Paint was done in the late 90's and is in very nice condition overall showing some light flawing with small cracked area's in a few places.Come and see it in person to really see all the work that was put into this paint. Body is also in very nice condition with some very minor wear dings, but no major damage. Has a progressive chopped top 4.5" in the front to 4" in the back. Nice subtle frenching of the headlights, parking lights and third brake light. License plate is set-in nicely. Hood has a cable pull, trunk has a push button release. Has an aftermarket Mustang ll Front End Disc Brake, and Drum at the back.
The running gear is a balanced 1968 Ford 302 that was bored 30 over. Had just 50 miles on it when we purchased it. I have put all the miles on it. Has been serviced and well taken care of, and now has 34,000 miles.
Heads have screw-in studs and heavy duty valve springs. This engine runs out great and has never been over revved. I don't beat on my cars.
Transmission is a C-4 that was rebuilt at time of purchase, and functions well.
Rear axle assembly is a Ford 9" with a gear ratio of 300.
Trunk has some nice detailing with chrome hinges and custom panels to help it look clean. I built a custom shelf and box to fit a canopy for car shows. Also have a nice show board with a description of the car.
Car has Power Steering/brakes & AC. Air Conditioning/Heater unit is an original 1968 mustang unit in the interior, looks and functions great!
Interior is a custom Wine & Gray/Blue Marathon Tweed. The dash is a Dakota Digital. Has tilt wheel and custom steering wheel.
There is many other great features on this car like chrome hood and trunk hinges and beautiful Custom Wheels. Custom detail lettering under hood and trunk lid. It even has 4 different horn sounds! This is a great car for someone with a budget that wants to get themselves a nice cruiser to hit all the local car shows this next spring/summer.
I have a big folder of all the work that was done on this car to go with the buyer. Car has a clear CA title.
