THE GRANADA WAS MADE BY THE MASSES, SO CAN'T REALLY BE LABELED AS A RARE CAR, BUT THEY ARE RARELY SEEN ON THE ROAD TODAY ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. THIS ERA IN THE AUTOMOTIVE WORLD WAS NOT BUILDING VEHICLES THAT STIRRED MUCH PASSION IN PRODUCTION OR IN OWNERSHIP AND WAS NOT AIMED TO BE VEHICLES THAT WERE MEANT TO BE CHERISHED, BABIED AND LEFT IN THIS KIND OF CONDITION OVER 4O YEARS LATER. THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS HONEST, CLEAN AND RUST FREE. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT WITH ALL PANEL BOLTS AND GAPS FACTORY AND UN-TOUCHED. ALL THE FACTORY ORIGINAL TAN PAINTED PINSTRIPE IS STILL IN PLACE AN DIN NICE SHAPE. THIS EXTERIOR OF THIS CAR HAS VERY MINIMAL WEAR NOT ONLY FOR A CAR THIS AGE, BUT EVEN FOR A VEHICLE A FEW DECADES YOUNGER. THE LITTLE THINGS THAT STOOD OUT TO ME ON THIS CAR IS THE CHROME TRIM AND EMBLEMS ON THE PLASTIC LIGHTS IS STILL CLEAR AND CRISP, THE HOOD ORNAMENT HAS SURVIVED AND IS STANDING TALL AND THE PAINTED BODY TRIM FILLER PIECES AROUND THE BUMPERS ARE IN AMAZING SHAPE WITH NO DAMAGE. THEY ARE MADE OF A MATERIAL THAT IS LIKE A FLEXIBLE RUBBER/PLASTIC MIXED MATERIAL THAT FORD AND GM USED ON MANY CADILLAC'S AND FULL SIZE CARS, BUT WAS ONLY DONE FOR A SHORT TIME DUE TO IT BEING VERY PRONE TO CRACKS AND HOLES AS IT GETS VERY BRITTLE IF NOT CARED FOR OR IN MAJOR HEAT. I'LL GIVE THIS GRANADA PRAISES ALL DAY LONG AND I WISH COULD FIND ORIGINAL SURVIVORS LIKE THIS EVERY WEEK, BUT IT HAS SEEN 42 YEARS OF LIFE AND ROADS, SO IT WILL STILL OF COURSE COME WITH SOME EXPECTED WEAR AND AGING THAT YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS AND POINTED OUT IN THE VIDEO AS I WALK AROUND. IT HAS YOUR TYPICAL SMALL STONE CHIPS ALONG THE LOWER ENDS OF THE BODY, SOME SMALL INNER DOOR EDGE CHIPS, SOME TINY LITTLE USAGE CHIPS OR MARKS IN SOME OF THE PANELS NEAR THE TRUNK AND PASSENGER ENTRY AREAS, THE ORIGINAL VINYL TOP IS FADED AND CRACKED IN SOME AREAS AROUND THE REAR GLASS, BUT YOU WILL NOT FIND A SINGLE RUST BUBBLE AROUND THE REAR GLASS. THERE IS A HALF FOOTBALL SIZED DENT ON THE VERY BOTTOM FRONT OF THE PASSENGER FENDER, SOME CURB SCUFFS ON THE EDGES OF SOME OF THE HUB CAPS, SOME SMALL DINGS IN THE STAINLESS TRIM AROUND THE WHEEL OPENING, THE REAR TAN PANEL BELOW THE TANK AND SIDE TRIM IS A LITTLE FADED ALONG WITH THE LITTLE GHIA EMBLEM ON THE REAR SIDE GLASS. THE SILVER AREAS AROUND THE HEADLIGHT BEZEL AND IN THE GRILLE IS A LITTLE FADED AND AS MENTIONED ABOVE THE ONLY AREAS OF RUST IS THE SMALL SPOT AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE DRIVER REAR QUARTER PANEL JUST AFTER THE TIRE THEN A COUPLE TINY BUBBLES UNDER THE PAINT JUST IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER REAR TIRE. IT IS NO SMALL FEAT TO MAKE IT OVER 4 DECADES AND HAVE A CARS PAINT, TRIM, LIGHTS AND CHROME LOOK THIS NICE ESPECIALLY ON THIS ERA OF CAR, SHOWING THE LOVE AND PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP IT RECEIVED. THIS TRULY IS JUST A CLEAN LITTLE CLASSIC AND GUARANTEED TO COMMENTS IN PARKING LOTS WITH ITS CRISP, WELL LOVED, CLEAN AND ORIGINAL CONDITION! THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE SMOOTHLY WITH NO DOOR HINGE SAG, THE WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY AND THE LOCK OPERATE PERFECT. EVEN THE BACK PIECE BELOW THE WINDOW IS INTACT, BUT A LITTLE FADED. THE DASH IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS OR HOLES, NICE CLEAR GAUGES, A PERFECT DASH PAD AND THE ASH TRAY IS CLEAN AND NEVER BEEN USED. REALLY ON THE INTERIOR THE ONLY SIGNS OF AGE OR WEAR IS SOME FADING IN THE WOOD AROUND THE GAUGES, ON TOP OF THE DOOR PANELS ALONG WITH A LITTLE ABOVE THE ARM RESTS AND THE REAR SIDE PANELS ODDLY ARE THE ONLY PLASTIC TRIM THAT ARE FADED. THE PRESENTS NICE ESPECIALLY FOR IT'S AGE AND STILL MOSTLY HAS THE FLUFFY FACTORY LOOK, BUT DOES HAVE SOME SLIGHT DARKENING IN THE SIDE ENTRY ALONG WITH THE FOOT RESTING AREAS AND IT HAS BEEN WORN FROM THE DRIVER LEFT FOOT JUST UNDER THE KICK PANEL/E-BRAKE AREA. THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUNK LOOKS NICE AND COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL CARPET, SPARE AND JACK SET-UP, MINT ORIGINAL DECALS AND SHINY WHITE PAINT UNDER THE TRUCK LID. NO LEAKS, BUT A NEW SEAL WOULDN'T HURT AND THE LID DOESN'T ALWAYS STAY FULLY UP. OVERALL THIS INTERIOR IS TRULY IS IN HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL CONDITION THAT IS VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE!
