This listing is for my beloved 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 4x4. This Truck comes with the desirable 5.8L 351 motor from Ford. Standard Cab Short-Bed. One Solid Feeling Truck! This truck only has 96,xxx miles on it. The truck spent most of its' life at a farm in Liberty Center, Ohio and spent most of its' life performing small tasks and running short errands. This was a true Midwest barn find. The truck comes with Manual locking hubs and 4x4 that works flawlessly. In the past couple months alone I was forced to drive it in the Michigan winter. Fortunately, this truck did NOT disappoint. I put about 4k miles on it in those two months due to my daily truck not being road worthy. The truck ran perfect and never left me stranded. The 351 fires up and idles smooth without any abnormal knocks or ticks. The motor does not burn oil or smoke and in any fashion.
I had plans to spend a weekend and really make this a solid truck. With minimal body work this truck would really be something. Some rust is starting to show but the there is no holes in the truck. The bed and tailgate of the truck is nearly spotless. With minor cab corner and rocker work this truck would be cherry. There is also driver side door damage from the previous owner "widow" pushing the door in or some sort of error. The only mechanical issues I can think of is sometimes the fuel gauge gets stuck on full after fill up. It won't correct itself until the truck is nearly empty.
The truck has manual door locks and manual windows, comes nearly brand new tires with less than 5,000 miles on them. The tires are quiet and roll down the interstate great. I have never gotten her stuck this Michigan Winter. In the last month I installed a new battery and alternator as well as a new serpentine belt.
Unfortunately, I am forced to sell due to my job relocating South.
Please reach out to me at (419) 705-9794 for additional information or picture requests.
Good luck to all bidders!
