Car description

With its big block V8, plenty of luxury features, and a great full red-on-black color scheme, this 1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Hardtop has an appeal that goes well beyond its affordable price.
This is the first year Ford offered the Town Hardtop body style. It had the same thick pillar roof style as the Landau, but without the extra ornamentation or vinyl cover. It creates a sleeker look where nothing gets in the way of the factory-correct Vintage Burgundy presentation. More than just the sophistication of the deep red, these Thunderbirds had style from brightwork that could be measured in acres. So it's great to see that this one is complete. We love how the front bumper follows the contour of the angular nose, and the rear one surrounds the wide taillights. Even the details are correct like all the large T-bird emblems you see across the grille, on the distinctive roof pillars, and spanning the taillights. You even have the correct turbine-style wheel covers and fender skirts in the rear. This is truly a standout for its factory-correct presentation.
The interior is a business-like black as this Thunderbird demonstrates what personal luxury really means. It starts with everyone getting their own individual bucket seat. And while the passengers get separate comfort, the driver is absolutely the king of this T-bird. A center console was artfully integrated into the driver-oriented cockpit. The original steering wheel has a nice wood surround that matches the door panels. Plus, there's an overhead console that's pure jet-age cool. And while all the correct pieces are still on display, you get some nice subtle upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo hidden in the glovebox. The gauges have that 60s-cool setup that is so intricate that we know no factory would ever dare try in modern times. The ribbon-style speedometer sits on top, and four fashionable individual round pods to finish the unique gauge package.
The 390 cubic-inch big block V8 was a great paring with the T-bird. Not only is it the correct displacement for this Z-code coupe, but also it looks nice with the bright valve covers and matching air topper radiating from within the red engine bay. This big V8 keeps the luxury attitude with plenty of horsepower and torque to keep everyone happy. It fires up easily, idles smoothly, and makes a nice sound out of the dual exhaust it's not like a muscle car, but instead, a confident and mature rumble. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front make this is an ideal all-day runner.
Thunderbirds have always represented style, but this one also presents good value for an interesting classic driver. Don't miss your chance, call today!!!
