Description
I am selling my 1984 Ford Mustang SVO 2.3 Turbo.
I prefer that the next owner of this Mustang NOT be from California. This car has $800 in DMV registration penalty fees if it is to be registered in California. So if you are from California you are going to be responsible for any and all Fees that may be incurred in registering this car in California.
Car has not been driven on a regular basis since 2011
This car starts, runs, drives and stops very well.
The following is a detailed description:
MECHANICAL
The turbocharged 2.3 litre 4 cylinder runs well. Idles fine, and the turbo responds as it should giving the car surprising amounts of power. The 5 speed manual works great with no grind, whines, or clunks. Clutch is very strong. 4 wheel disc brakes work well. All gauges including boost gauge work as they should. Cooling fans are hooked to a manual switch.
Has new battery
AC compressor has no belt. Car comes with a brand new set of struts/shocks in boxes.
BODY
Car is very straight and 100% rust free(been in Calif. Its whole life)
Car was repainted the original color by Maaco in June of 2005. Still looks very presentable but do not expect show quality.
INTERIOR
The all original seats are in good shape. Carpet is a little dirty. Dash pad is cracked but comes with brand new pad still in box(cost $200). Steering is in poor shape. Has original owners manual and original window sticker(poor shape)
Glass is all good, power windows operate as should. All lights work.
Radio inop.
WHEELS AND TIRES
Has original 16" 5 lug SVO wheels with tires that have plenty of tread but are old. Has spare and original jack.
In conclusion, we have a very presentable semi-rare Mustang that can be used as a daily driver, weekend car, or restored to show car quality.
I think I have set a very reasonable BUY IT NOW price.
