First video is a walk around and second is a test drive.
This car was owned and built over 20 years by a 70 year oldgentleman who wanted a classic Pony set up as a comfortable daily driver and used his engineering skills to intelligently and logically accomplish his goal. Sadly, after 11 months in the hospital with a life threatening infection, he decided that it was time to sell.
This 50 year young car started life as a C-code (289), power steering, power brake, 4 speed and AC car. First on his build "to do" list was performance and he wanted his creation to be quick and fast so he had a 302 built and balanced with a complete roller assembly, flat top pistons, performance intake with four barrel carb, long tube headers, etc., that would be running somewhere between 300 and 350 h.p.It was mated to a brand new 5 speed Tremec with new 4:11 gears installed in the rear end while, he was having the entire rear axle rebuilt. What one gets when they combine the 5 speed Tremec with the 4:11 rear end gear ratio is a car that is quick off the line but can still do 70 mph. at 2300 rpm.
Spending all of that money on the drivetrain he rebuilt the entiresuspension beginning with lowering it 2" in the rear and 1 1'2" in the front. He replaced every suspension component from springs, shocks, tie rod ends, etc., and added heavy duty stabilizer bars both front and rear. He rebuilt the brakes in the rear and installed a disc brake conversion on the front and installed an adjustable proportional valve. The American five spoke mags are new and so are the Nexen N3000 Z rated tires. This car is NOT grandpa's 68, but it still looks like it!
So much has been done to this car. On the inside he wanted power windows but a 68 Mustangdidn't have a power window option so he bought an aftermarket kit. He wanted power door locks, and other modern driver friendly upgrades, and he installed those as well. He wanted fog lights, for that GT look, a hood scoop, sequential rear tail lights, old school glass packs (listen to the video...sound awesome),and check out the cool chrome traction bars! With all of those sporty exterior upgrades why not carpet the trunk? So cool!
Everything on this car has less than 1500 miles of wear on it and some items much less. The paint was finished 1/19/18. The fog lights, the disc brakes, the new gauges, the AC compressor, are all very recent. Most of the photos are from today as well asthe videos. This is a fun car to drive that you could fly in and drive home. Everyone should watch both videos for maximum information.
I am open to offers before the conclusion of the auction.Call me at (817) 403-7723. The only payment options are cash in person or a bank wire transfer. All shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will work with your people. The car is located in Denton, Texas. On Feb-05-18 at 00:12:57 PST, seller added the following information:

I should add that the car has all new weather stripping around doors including felt strips and other rubber seals between windows, etc. The glass is all tinted and the windshield is new and has no flaws. Most of the wiring is new.
