Car description

INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME! PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-8038 WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR TO BUY IT NOW! Pictures do not come close to doing this car justice! It is a gorgeous 1940 Ford Deluxe two door Business coupe. If you are looking for a Hot Rod with AC and leather, THIS IS NOT IT! It is a stock restoration, not a modified Street Rod by any means. It is a Business coupe not an Opera coupe which has the rear jump seats. It has a rear shelf behind the front bench. It is a lifelong California car with a beautiful body, zero rust, and spectacular mile deep black paint. It was restored starting with a rust free Barn Find type car. Although it actually sat in a nice garage in Southern California for 40+ years. Approximately $10k in paint and body alone. As you can see in the reflections, the paint is like a mirror. The car is arrow straight and the fit and finish is excellent. The doors close with one finger. The undercarriage is excellent as well. The chrome and stainless were also restored. The grill is excellent. I have ordered the Deluxe script emblems for the side of the hood. It has a Dennis Carpenter rebuilt Flathead V-8 mated to a rebuilt and smooth shifting three speed manual transmission. I have a big book of receipts, hand written journals, business cards, and paperwork documenting the car's history for decades. The rearend was rebuilt, along with new stock hydraulic juice brakes/drums. Mechanically it has been all gone through and is in excellent condition. It starts right up and settles into a smooth idle although you can barely hear it run. The engine compartment itself is very clean. New 16 inch Coker Wide Whitewall tires mounted on steelie wheels with Deluxe hubcaps. All new glass and window mechanisms. The windows roll up and down smoothly. All that is left to do is finish the interior to your taste. It is very complete but I did not want to put a Mohair interior in it if the next guy is immediately going to rip it out to put Tuck n Roll or whatever they like. The seat is red vinyl/naugahyde right now. The dash and gauges have already been restored and are in beautiful condition. EVEN THE CLOCK WORKS WELL! It just need headliner and upholstery of your choice. I have the templates for the door panels but the rest of the car is so nice I would install new everything. I have the sunvisors, door handles, window cranks, armrest, etc. The headliner still has the bows, just no material. Don't get me wrong, it can be driven and shown like it sits. It just deserves to go that little extra mile that it has left with the inside and be completely finished. California black and yellow license plates with current CA registration. Clean, clear California title in hand. It is a beautiful 40, not a perfectly restored undriven Concours example so please be realistic with your expectations. I do not think you will find anything better for the money or honestly even for a lot more money. WAY too much money invested. You get to do the easy part. This car will sell this first time advertised! This is a great deal for a cool vintage Classic and I do not think anybody will be disappointed with it. I have a 1932 Roadster and a 1936 Three Window. I need room. My dog Johnny Cash would not be included in the deal for all of the money in the world. Inspections are encouraged. I am located in Solana Beach, California in North County Coastal San Diego.

I can help with transportation either getting it loaded on a truck or assisting you however I can at the buyer's expense. Inspections are encouraged. $1000 non refundable deposit due at auction end and remaining balance due within three working days. Payment must be in the form of cash in person or via certified bank wire transfer. I do my best to accurately describe the vehicle to the best of my abilities.
