Car description

With plenty of shine, great Cobra tributes, and an upgraded interior, this 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 coupe was already attractive even before you saw the affordable price.
The '68 Fairlane was arguably one of Ford's most attractive designs of the 1960s because it offered an elegant simplicity that had a hint of European influence. And the paint on this coupe highlights this idea perfectly. Originally born a Light Green car, it looks far more sophisticated today dressed in black. It has a nice gloss, and it does a fantastic job of drawing attention to the big chrome bumpers and bright fender trim. But there's much more to this coupe. The GT-style wheel covers, hood pins, Cobra badging, and hood scoop add aggression to its elegance.
This has plenty of room to carry up to five people in comfort, but it's also a driver-focused machine. The first thing that you notice about the interior are the seats. The buckets up front have much more modern bolstering to offer better comfort than they could ever have had in the '60s. Your right hand instantly gravitates to the B&M shifter, and your left one will love the grip of the APC flat-bottomed sports steering wheel. Beyond that are the dashboard's four round gauge pods that make drivers feel like they were in an Italian sports car. So while it will be great to roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop, and let the AM/FM/CD stereo give the best tunes, the interior performance upgrades already let you know your real favorite soundtrack starts under the hood.
The V8 looks great in the engine bay with Ford bold blue block radiating from within the darkness. Plus, there's a nice shine from components like the air topper, valve covers, and master cylinder. But what you'll really love about the engine bay is the performance within. The 302 cubic-inch motor was borrowed from a low-mileage and younger T-bird. It has been upgraded with a big Edelbrock 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and a growling dual exhaust. And the C4 three-speed automatic was rebuilt to handle all this extra power. It has been given all the right investments to fire up confidently and drive smoothly. Plus, with power steering, front disc brakes, and the grip of modern Kumho tires, this Cobra-style Fairlane is a fantastic all-around cruiser.
With only about 1,000 miles on this since completion, here's a restored classic coupe has a lot to offer. So when you can get something so complete for such an affordable price, then you know you want to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!
