Up for sale is a 1988 saleen mustang 88-028 this is a real saleen see pics for letter of authenticity. This car starts and runs fine and makes alot of power, shifts like it should(see transmission below), handles excelent and stops on a dime! Although the ride is a little stiff due to modifications made to the car. I have a book with all the reciepts and instructions of aftermarket parts installed and a box of spare parts. BODY the paint is worse for wear and will require either a repaint or touch up. The car is absolutely 100% rust free. the factory saleen wing is long gone and is replaced by a GT wing. The rest of the factory body kit is intact.Installed is a 3" cowl fiberglass hood. The trunk lock and antenna have been filled in. The deck lid is opened by the factory switch in the glove box. There are no dents in the car. Installed on the car are a set factory saleen wheels that are very rare wheels made by speedline wheels. MOTOR The motor is a 408 ci windsor. It has forged crank rods and pistons. Hyd roller cam runs on pump gas just fine. AFR 185 aluminum heads. canton road race oil pan and oil cooler, also has p/s pump cooler. trick flow intake with 30# injectors, a anderson motor sports intake tube, 90 mm MAF, fuel safe fuel cell with after market pump inside as well as external pump. The computer has a custom dyno tuned autologic chip in j3 port. on dyno it made 388hp and 440ftlbs of torque. TRANSMISSION Billet fly wheel with centerforce clutch (fairly new) the trans in this mustang is a modified t5. it has been modified by G_FORCE racing it has a dog ring set up. if you don't know what that is search dog ring transmission on youtube . the rearend is a factory 8.8 with a modified posi trac (four disc set up)3.08 gear, this is the factory saleen rearend with disc brakes. SUSPENSION This saleen has been modified for road racing. all major suspension components are from maximum motorsports: Torque arm, panhard bar lower rear control arms sub frame connectors kemeber and upper/lower controll arms caster/camber plates, tie rod kit coil overs. Struts and shocks are koni dual adjustible yellows and 4 point roll bar. manual brake with adjustable pedal, Four piston brembo 13 " brakes, cobra r steering rack.strut tower brace. INTERIOR The factory door panels are still intact and in good condition, the factory guage panel is there and in ok condition (some light fading), the factory rear seats are there but the tops are baked a little from the sun.The front seats have been replaced with flofit seats which are what they used for the originals just don't have the red piping. carpet has been replaced some years ago and seems to be in good condition, the ash tray door is broken dash pad is in excellent condition.Installed are a set of four point CROW seat belts. the factory belts are installed also.
