Car description |
---|
Original, un-molested, rare 85.5 SVO. I am the second owner. All documentation from new, including Elite Marti Report showing this is one of 439 85.5 SVO's and 1 of 119 Bright Red SVO's. Mileage is documented, original 51k miles. I also have the original invoice, original dealer paperwork, etc. One of the best documented Mustangs I've ever seen.
This car speaks for itself. Original paint in excellent condition. Fantastic original interior, detailed engine bay, and new parts galore! All original parts come with the car. Installed in the last year: New Koni front struts and rear shocks, Eibach springs, brake pads with brake and suspension system detailed, new Motorcraft battery detailed to resemble original battery with custom decals. NOS hoses and belts installed, NOS water pump installed, and NOS timing belt installed with NOS Motorcraft tensioner. We also put in a new exhaust system, replacing the worn out original. Walker/Dynomax turbo mufflers were used which resembled the stock mufflers as close as possible. An NOS Y pipe was also installed. The door window seals were replaced as the originals had become hard and shrunk as in all early fox Mustangs. The trim was re-painted at the same time in the correct SVO gray.
The overall condition of the vehicle is exceptional. I know the original owners well, and the car was kept in storage from 1990 on after serving as a daily driver. Driven occasionally and started monthly, the original owners are Shelby enthusiasts and the car was stored along side a '66 GT350H, a '67 GT500 among other collectible cars.
This SVO is not only a rare example and the most desirable, 1985.5 model, it also is a time capsule. The original paint, while not 100% perfect as can be expected after 33 years and 51k miles, is very nice. I would rate it a 8/10. The few flaws are nothing more than patina which is expected in any original vehicle of it's age and mileage. The interior is also nearly perfect, a 9/10. The drivers seat shows little wear, and the dash has been re-flocked as the original flocking was deteriorated as most original SVO's are.
I am reluctantly selling this unique fox Mustang, but I'm in no hurry to do so. I need the room more than anything. The price is pretty firm. Please don't waste our time with low offers. The new owner will be very pleased with their new acquisition, and the vehicle will only appreciate from here.
Also included are additional NOS parts and other parts. New clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. Tons of NOS Motorcraft parts the original owner bought in 1995 when Ford discontinued stocking 1985 parts. Two boxes full of parts along with all parts ever taken off the car like hoses, belts, even the original spark plugs!
Check my feedback. I sold numerous vehicles on eBay over the years and have had a great experience every time. I sell what I describe and I'll stand behind it!!
