Car description |

Cruisin' down the street in my 6-4...
That's been my motto all summer but it's time to move on. I really do dig this car and it's a fun cruiser that turns heads of all ages. Things in life change and you gotta roll with those changes, that's why I'm here. Time for changes.
I bought this car in the spring from a guy whose entire property was covered in complete Falcons, incomplete Falcons, and hundreds if not thousands of parts for Falcons. The only info I have on this car is what he told me.
I will be very transparent about my knowledge of this car, although I do think it's a great car and anyone should want to own it.
This is a 1964 Ford Falcon Futura 4-Door and has the following features:
*original motor-- 170 Cu Inch Inline 6*original transmission-- Fordomatic 2 speed automatic
*the guy I bought it from had a strong assumption that the motor and tranny has been rebuilt.if you'd seen his lot, you'd believe him too.
*14,XXX on the dash but it doesnt have the "hundred thousand" slot--*so it may have (likely) rolled at least once*possibly couldve been reset during that rebuild*possibly just doesnt roll at the appropriate speed-- ive had my suspicions the last few times ive driven it.
*interior of the car is in EXCELLENT condition.*all red bench seats in the front and back*red carpet that is fairly clean and not torn, as far as i know*ash trays in the front and back, remember those?*all lights work, interior and exterior
*I haven't touched the air controls but the knobs aren't broken off or anythingsomeone along the way added a small, yet still vintage, defroster in the rear windowI have no clue if either of these features work
*wipers work*horn doesn't-- but i wanna say i saw the wiring under the hood and it jst wasn't plugged in- it didnt concern me so i didnt bother hooking it up and checking it.
*i see the reservoir and other components for wiper fluid but again, it doesnt concern me so i dont know if or how it works
i'm more of a sunny day, windows down cruiser-- gotta let that paint shine
*pretty sure this has the original braking system-- it's certainly not modern
*generator not alternator
far from original is the tint job i had put on during the summer
and the sound system a previous owner installed, that consists of:*semi-modern faceplate featuring AM/FM and CD*2 (guessing on size) 8 ish inch speakers in the back window, neatly installed*an amp of sorts that can be seen in the trunk photo*a subwoofer of sorts that can also be seen in the trunk photo
there's dings, dents, scratches and what not here and there but there's no rust that i've seenboth bumpers could use some lovethe passenger door is the worst of the paint damage- should be able to zoom in on photoback driver by the tail light has some missing tooneither of which should be considered deal breakers, its a 50+ year old car after all
tires are all fairly new, and i believe original wheels/hubcaps
I have what i believe to be the original ignition key along with a non original trunk keyi also purchased some sweet Falcon keys that came with a sweet Falcon key chaini was able to get on of those keys cut to the ignition but th other remains blank cause they couldnt cut it for the trunk
I've driven this car quite a bit recently from short trips running errands to back and forth from one end to the other of the Denver Metro area. I've had zero problems driving it, you may get passed on the highway but hey- it was a different time in '64
I will try to be as available as possible to answer any and all incoming messagesso don't hesitate to ask
I expect a prompt payment from the winning bidder, please.i already have all keys and paperwork ready to go
you will be fully responsible for getting this car from me in a timely manner after the end of auctioni will not organize towing, i will not drive to you, i will not put it on a train, or boat, or spaceship for you. this is your full responsibility.
upon receiving payment, i will give you the location of the car and be available for you or your driver to get the keys and paperwork.
thanks for checking it out!
