Car description

You are bidding on a 1972 Ford F250 Ranger XLT. This is a great running and driving truck. I have owned this for a little over a year and have put several thousand miles on it driving around town. This truck originally came out of California about 3 years ago. Truck is truly rust free, I can find no rust in this truck (other than some very minor surface rust in a few spots). Most of the paint is original with the exception of the the hood, cowl, and top of roof. These had primer on them when I bought it. These areas were stripped down to bare metal, epoxy primed and then a clear coat/base coat paint was applied to match the original color. The rest of the truck has the original paint which looks good in some areas and not so good in others, has a great patina to it.Here is a list of the options and features on this truck;Ranger XLT package390 2V engineC6 automatic transmissionPower SteeringPower BrakesCamper Special packageSliding rear windowCargo LightStorage compartment under bedNew wheelsNew tiresFactory dual gas tanksRear chrome bumperRebuilt radiator
The exterior is very straight with the exception of a small crease on the lower LH bed side behind the wheel. The bed is in almost perfect condition as is the tailgate. This truck had a camper on it most of its life which has kept the bed and tailgate 99% dent free. There is a spot on the drivers side front fender that the paint is missing and the paint is worn off under the fill spout too. Other than that a lot of the paint could be polished up and look presentable, or this would be a very easy truck to paint.
All of the XLT trim is on the truck but has lost it new appearance, the wood grain has faded, etc. This is all reproduced if you wanted to replace it.
As far as I know everything works, lights, horn, turn signals, fuel gauges, heater, radio, etc. Runs and drives great and only has a few minor leaks, mainly the power steering, but it is not bad enough to fix. All of the glass is the original Carlite glass that came on it new. Some of the weather stripping is in need of replacement, worst part being the window channels, but they are usable as is too. I have never used the rear tank but it will switch over to it and the gauge works on it as well.
The interior is in good shape considering it is all original. The seat is in fair condition under the seat cover, some wear on drivers side and the upper seam on the back rest is coming apart. The dash has a crack right down the center, carpet is OK, door panels are good with the exception of the chrome mylar is coming off in places.
At one time this had A/C installed in it. I have the under dash unit but nothing else. I will include this if you are interested. Over all very nice running, driving truck that is still very presentable and fun to drive. Please email me with any questions. You are welcome to come an look/drive if you are in the area.
