Car description

This is a 1955 Ford F100 pickup. First let me say this truck is my daily driver. It makes a 32 mile round trip six days a week and has been doing this for the last 13 months. The truck has rack n pinion power steering and four wheel disc brakes. It has never failed to crank no matter how cold or hot it is due to the computer controlled fuel injection. In fact the entire drive train is late model modern components that let a 1955 truck run and stop like a modern car. Our longest trip has been over 300 miles when we drove the truck to Pigeon Forge TN to the f100 supernationals this past spring with no problems. Here are some specifics of what we've done to the truck. -2005 Mustang 4. 6 3v SOHC engine with 70k miles on it at installation. -2005 Mustang 5r55s 5 speed automatic transmission -2001 Explorer 8. 8 limited slip disc brake axle with 3. 27 gears -1997 Aerostar disc brake independent front suspension with rack n pinion power steering -1997 Aerostar firewall mounted brake booster. master cylinder. and brake pedal assembly -New Champion aluminum 3 row radiator with electric fan -New brake lines throughout -New frame mounted fuel pump with all new fuel injection rated fuel lines and clamps -Everything has been changed to 12 volt -All new wiring throughout the truck with relay controlled starter. and headlights just like modern cars -All new 12 volt headlights and all other bulbs -Fully functional 2 speed heater with shut off valve for summer driving -1963 galaxie xl brake and gas pedals just cause I liked them -Tilt steering column with complete custom one off steering wheel assembly that I built -Custom one off cup holders made from exhaust tips that I built -All new glass and rubber with fully functional vent windows -Tinted windows -New 255/70/15 tires on the front and new 265/70/15 tires mounted on 10 inch steel d wheels all the way around -Bed completely redone with new wood and rails -New leaf spring bushings and bolts with 2" drop shackles -New chrome differential cover -New long tube headers -New 2 1/2 inch exhaust with 4" Magnaflow tips -New Flowmaster 40 mufflers -Custom made balanced driveshaft -Custom computer tune by Delta Force software -Working windshield wipers. high and low beam headlights. blinkers. fuel gauge. temp gauge. oil pressure gauge -Column mounted Tachometer -Fully functional Diagnostic port that communicates with the computer using 2005 ford mustang can bus technology -All engine sensors are fully functional and engine operates in "closed loop" condition just like Ford intended -Welded and smoothed firewall -New windshield wipers and blades -I have a push button next to the key switch. this button is your overdrive on/off. If you want to pull a light trailer just hit overdrive button once and no overdrive. Once you turn the key off the computer defaults back to overdrive or you can just hit the button again and the overdrive comes back on. I built this truck to be a driver. I've driven the truck over the smokey mountains to Pigeon Forge TN to the f100 supernationals. There were a lot of trucks there but. I didn't see one truck with newer 4. 6 3v engine like mine. It truly is unique. I wanted to keep its original look on the outside but when you opened the hood. wow! People ask me almost daily "when are you going to paint it?". I never will. However. its a blank canvas if that's your thing. I've done a lot of custom things to the truck. my goal was never to keep it original. There are plenty of little things left to be done for the tinker. but all the big things are done. Everyday on the road someone is always giving me the thumbs up and smiling and waving. It truly is a lot of fun to drive. I never smoked in the truck and its garaged inside everyday. I'm selling because I've tied up a lot of money in this truck that I need to free it up before I can start another project. My name is Ken and you and call or text me between 9am and 9pm eastern time if you have more specific questions. You can pick the truck up here in Commerce GA or if you arrange shipping I will work with your driver to meet him and load up the truck after funds clear. I don't have a title for the truck. In Ga a bill of sale is all that's required. Also. the miles on the truck body are unknown. the 81000 is engines/trans miles. There is no warranty express or implied. My cell is 706-296-6196
