Car description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the nearly 60 photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEOFRE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1993 Ford F-250 with the desirable 4.9L straight six. The Ford F-Series trucks need no introduction. Their reputation as rugged and reliable trucks has made them the best selling family of trucks. I would rate the exterior of this F-250 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, she shows well for an older truck. She's finished in basic fleet white with gray interior and a red bench. As with any older truck, please expect normal signs of age and use. However, this truck appears to have been pretty well cared for. There is some usual rust around the wheel openings and such...but nothing bad. In fact, this truck has far less rust than I'm used to seeing at this age. What's most impressive is that the body isn't all beat up. Everything looks nice and straight. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory wheel covers are all resent and look good. The tires are a matching set with decent tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. The interior is pretty basic, as you'd expect. The door cards are clean and tight. The floor is vinyl, which shows well and is super easy to clean. The windows roll up and down easily. The bench seat also shows well and is probably not the original. The dash and headliner are clean. The stereo is original and sounds good. This F-250 is equipped with air conditioning..which actually still works. Inside the cab is also an older Tekonsha electric trailer brake controller. Mechanically, this truck gets around fine but there are a few things you need to know. I'll start with the back story. I bought this truck a while ago. I listed it and the auction ended with a deadbeat. I completely forgot I even had this truck until a few weeks ago when I was moving everything around in my storage yard to maximize room. Don't ask me how I forget about a car...but I've done it a few times before. Anyway, I charged up the battery and she fired right up and the battery is even holding a charge. I remember from when I first got this truck that there is no 5th gear.,,so it's either a 4 spd with the wrong shifter knob or it's a 5 speed and 5th gear is missing. When the truck runs, there is an audible whine coming from the front. I believe I hear two things making noise and I don't remember either of these things from before...but I'm sure sitting for close to a year didn't help anything. I've idled this truck extensively and used it to run a few errands over the last week or two to make sure everything is still good and she gets around good. It is out of inspection, as you may notice in the photos. I checked the back of the inspection stickers and compared the mileage to the odometer and this truck has only gone 300 miles (yes, three hundred) since it was last inspected...so I'd be surprised if needed anything. She feels solid as a rock. Steering and brakes feel good. She keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. I don't see any noteworthy leaks. The check engine light is on but it's a 1993 so it won't keep you from passing emissions as vehicles 1995 and older do not get plugged into the computer. Emissions is simply a visual check and gas cap test. She's geared pretty low so it's not something you'd probably want to have out on the highway all the time. However, if you want a rock solid truck for a good price and you only need to run around town, this old girl would be perfect. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
