up for auction is a 1976 ford ranchero 500 . I picked car up in a trade for some items and only know what I am describing and or was told . I am not a ford man .So I will do my best .If you need me to look at anything I will. The car runs and drives great. I was told the engine has about 10,000 miles on a fresh rebuild. Under the hood it looks complete . It is a 351/400 m engine with a automatic trans . I do not know how to tell the difference in trans size .I will post if I find out. The car has a lot of potential .It has its normal spots of rust. Hood has rust underneath also. The worst part of this truck is the roof .It had a vinyl top and you know how they rust. someone smeared filler across the roof and it should be removed and fixed by welding new metal .All the chrome is wrapped up and behind seat long pieces in bed. The man that had it did buy a new vinyl top to be put on . It is black. Truck has all gauges, a factory hood lock handle. The car start, drives, steers great .I cant believe how easy this thing steers. There is a little exhaust leak on passenger side manifold . Not bad but needs gasket. All a/c is in tact and complete .Belt is still on .Which leads me to believe a charge would be all it needs ?This car is a great project or big block donor or whatever you choose to do with it. Will ad any new information . Car is for sale locally and reserve right to sell. any questions call 434-547-8890 if high bidder is between Baltimore and South central Virginia .Could arrange for possible drop off if agreed price. Will be taking to Virginia in a week or so . There is know rush on removal if high bidder has to make arrangements . Will put in garage until that time . I am trying to describe truck as best I can .Good luck.
