Car description |
---|
I am selling this 1964 ½ Mustang Coupe for a friend of mine that isn't familiar with selling on Ebay. I have personally know this car for over 20 years, it was owned by one family and handed down from 1964 to 2008 when the last family owner died. It had always been cared for and maintained to the highest standard. This car was purchased new from Oakley Motor Company in Memphis Tennessee on June 24th, 1964 and a copy of the sales agreement comes with the car.
The car is equipped with the original (rebuilt) 260 V-8 engine and automatic transmission with center floor console and factory power steering as well as factory Air Conditioning. I had always assumed that early Mustang A/C units were "dealer installed", however this car came from the factory with this A/C unit. All A/C components are there however the system does not hold a charge for an extended period of time. The compressor head appears to be leaking and will likely need rebuilding. If I were to purchase this car I would want the factory compressor rebuilt to keep the cars originality, however that will be up to the new owner. New Factory replacement style chrome 1965 Rally Wheels and Red Line Radial Tires accent the exterior of this far above average rust free Mustang that had rarely if ever seen winter usage.
The interior is outstanding, seats were upholstered in high quality Leather by this female owners' friend who has performed interior restorations on multiple Pebble Beach winning cars. It's difficult to describe in words the quality of the leather interior other than "Superb". A new 1965 Mustang GT steering wheel was installed and adds to the beauty of this interior.
Inspections are encouraged as well as welcomed by either the bidder or their agent, an appointment will need to be made for the inspection, you will not be disappointed.
To the best of my knowledge all body panels are original and rust and rust repair free. No signs of collision damage or collision repairs are evident. The paint on this car is very nice and has been refinished once in the original "P" code Prairie Bronze.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, I will do my best to answer them promptly. Thanks for looking at this exceptional car.

Final payment by either cash, cashiers check, personal check or wire transfer. All forms of payment must clear prior to the vehicle being released. Final payment expected within 10 days of auctions end.
In an effort to avoid unnecessary emails, the reserve is set at $20,000.00 for this exceptional Mustang.
