This is a NO RESERVE listing. The truck will sell on eBay, so please decide your highest bid, and place it here. I will not sell it off the eBay site. High bidder here will own it. The truck belonged to a recent high school graduate. He bought it as a driver to tinker on. He said it would backfire or pop while running. One cylinder had low compression, so he decided to pull the engine and rebuild it. More than likely it was a ring or a valve that needed replaced. All of the parts are in a box. Everything looks good, so it could be cleaned up and reassembled with a new internal parts kit. This could be a "benchtop rebuild" that would not require machine work, aside from cutting the valves if you wanted to. It has a stock iron 4 bbl intake and an Edelbrock 4 bbl carb.
The body is pretty straight and workable for a truck that is nearing 50 years old. It has been repainted once back to original color. It has had the front cab braces replaced with flat metal. It is all lined up nice and is a quality repair. The rear cab corners have typicalrust holes forming but are largely intact. The floors have some rust and scale but are mostly solid aside from one half dollar sized hole that could be easily patched. The cab roof and hood are nice. This truck has not been hailed on. The front fender is dented on the driver's side. The inner fenders and hood hinge braces are good. Both doors have rust in the corners. The frame is in nice straight rustfree condition.
The bed is very nice. It has a dent in the center of the load floor and some ripples/filler behind the passenger rear tire but is otherwise very straight. There is no rust in the bed, inside or out. The paint is cracking at the seams where the lower bed sides attach, but these areas are all solid. There are no pinholes.
The doors open and shut nice. The windshield has a small star crack. The interior has a pair of late model buckets that were installed nicely and are comfortable. It has a nice aftermarket steering wheel. The actual mileage is unknown.
I am out of room and want to sell this to someone who will get it going again. It has a lot of things going for it.It has been a driver truck in the last year, so it will take significantly less work than the average pasture truck would. It is a desirable color. Lots of these trucks were brown or split pea green.
I am a car guy just like you, so I want to do right by you. I have described the truck to the best of my knowledge. It is an old truck, in project condition, so it is sold as is. If your are local you are welcome to inspect it. I will answer any questions you have. There is space for more photos so if you want to see more I can post them.
I can possibly deliver the truck if you need help. I took a Studebaker to Ft Worth last week for $500. Contact me for details.
