Car description |

This 1970 Ford C600 Cabover is a running, driving, CA registered truck. I used it for the last year doing some Construction and Jeep hauling. Never let me down so far. Total vehicle length is under 20 feet, so it can be parked legally on LA streets. The bed is a shortened "bobtail" or Equipment Hauling bed, and with my homemade ramps it is just long enough for a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Tires are good.New rubber brake lines all around.Recent Alternator. Engine is mechanically solid with good oil pressure hot or cold. (Smog Excempt) All lights and signals are working. Fuel gauge is out.2-Speed rear end shift mechanism needs new electrical switches. Works great in High Range as it is.Carburetor is recently rebuilt, but still runs a tad rich. (The Vehicle came from Boise ID originally and still has the high altitude jets)Body is straight with almost no rust.Passenger side windshield is cracked but vehicle comes with used replacement glass.
This was intended as a Hot Rod Hauler project. It already is a Jeep/4x4 hauler. I planned to install a Diesel engine and a fancy race car bed like Ford used in the 1970s, but I wound up just using it as it was for my Jeeps and my construction projects. It worked well enough for me without modifications for over a year, but now my needs have changed and the truck must go.
NO RESERVE. Winner gets a fully working, registered, driving COE Ford C600 Hot Rod Hauler.
LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. If you're bidding from out of SoCal, you must arrange for pick-up and shipping on your own. You can fly in and drive it back. I bought it through eBay and drove it from Boise ID to Los Angeles at an average speed of 55 mph while getting approximately 9mpg.
If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Good luck!
