Car description

Since the inception of the automobile racing was invented as soon as the 2nd car was built. The strong love affair with getting cars to go faster and faster with modifications and enhancements has always been a strong desire by fans and enthusiasts. Offered for your purchasing interest is this very special 1935 Ford Indy Race car replica commissioned by Dick Cecil and built by the famous A.J. Watson. The build began in 2005 and took a little over 2yrs to complete and fine tune. The car was started with a boxed frame and fiberglass body. The car carries a Mercury Flathead V8 with Edmunds heads which are world renowned and referred to as Eddies. The engine is setup nicely in the engine bay and relinquishes its exhaust via twin chrome exhaust side pipes. Transmission is a 4spd manual with reverse and is a joy to drive and very easy to shift thru the gate. Rear end is a Halibrand that is produced out of Torrence California. Other notable features include; Perma-Cool radiator fan Jaguar knock off wire wheels with Firestone Gum Dippers as tires chrome front axle and steering rack seat belts leather cockpit front chrome leaf springs split front adjustable windshield dual rear mirrors Stewart Warner tachometer Classic Instruments that include oil pressure voltage water temp and fuel. All these gauges appear to be working. This car participated in numerous events but also was a 8 time participant in the Millers on the Mile race in Milwaukee and the Alumni Reunion at the Indy Raceway Park. The car fires right up with a few flicks of switches and a pull of the choke. Once warmed up the vehicle drives awesome and is very enjoyable to drive. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a very accurate replication of a Indy style car from the 30's and at this price is a fraction of any others on the market.
