GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1923 Ford "T-Bucket" custom for purchase. Popularized in television shows like '77 Sunset Strip and then taken over with the "Greaser" movement cars known as "T-Buckets" have a special place in classic car folklore. Having a fast car in the 50's was not such an easy task with the weight of American production vehicles. Using a pre-WWII frame and dropping an engine in to the simple drive train became a popular way of finding some speed. The "T-Bucket" u...sually features a front radiator straight windshield and some sort of custom (and usually loud) paint work. Simple and fun to drive a turn-key ready T-Bucket is great to have sitting in the garage for that nice day to tear up some pavement. The T Bucket offered here for sale was built by the owner on his break times at work over the years hence the name "Break time." It features a fiberglass "C-Cab" body finished in yellow that shows well. The power plant consists of a 355v8 paired with a T-350 automatic transmission. The powerful v8 features an Edelbrock X-C8 aluminum intake with a side by side dual-quad set up with Holley carburetors. Air makes its way through the intake through 2 large Mr. Gasket chrome air cleaners. Spark is dispersed by a Mallory pro master coil and distributor with Accel wires. The engine sounds great with Sanderson street rod headers resonating the sound of the healthy v8. The engine has been dressed up with a chrome kit. The car rides on Weld Racing Wheels. It has 31x18.5x15 Hoosier tires in the rear to keep the horsepower locked to the road. In the front are 185x60x15 Cooper tires. The T Bucket also has Auto Meter gauges and a CD player. This car is ready for its new owner. This car is priced to sell as you could not build the car for this price. To see over 80 photos of this car including under carriage please visit our website
