Car description |
---|
I am the original owner, and that time has come. "The Mustang" has been very rarely used since purchased new, and has been sitting covered in my garage for the last seven years. I just changed the oil and filter and replaced the battery in preparation for this sale. (Mobil1 5W30synthetic). The vehicle runs VERY strong when accelerated, corners with precision, and idles smooth enough to drive in rush hour traffic. On a Mustang Dynamometer chassis tester, the vehicle made a clean 480 wheel HP and 513 torque at 14 pounds of boost. (It was spinning the rear wheels during the testing, so true WHP will be higher. See the posted dyno slip).
All modifications were professionally done with the best parts available at the time. I have and will include all the blueprint specs, and receipts totaling well above $20,000. The engine has less than 1000 miles since built. Here is a listing of the most significant parts:
Engine: Coast High Performance "Street Fighter" 347CI built on a Dart block with 4 bolt mains, O-ringed and balanced. Ported and cc'd Victor JR aluminum heads and Victor JR intake manifold, REV engine valves and springs, 90mm throttle body, ARP rod and head studs, custom grind Competition Cams, 1.72 roller rockers, 7 Qt Moroso oil pan, Ron Davis aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, remote mount oil filter, front mounted oil cooler, Stage 8 locking header bolts, new water and oil pump, and a custom distributor elimination kit.
Power Adder: Precision Turbo T64E turbocharger (1050cfm), custom intercooler, custom exhaust manifold, TIAL wastgate, HKS blowoff valve, all clamps are V band or T-bolt clamps, and all hoses are blue silicone. Boost is controlled by a Greddy 2 stage controller, set to 7 pounds of boost for street use. (If desired during racing, you can switch to 14 pounds MAX boost once you shift to 3RD gear.)
Fuel and Ignition: Electromotive TEC II "stand alone" coil pack engine management with data logging cable, Magna Fuel Pro Tuner 625 fuel pump inside the Behind Bars Race Cars (BBRC) aluminum 15 gallon fuel tank, steel braided fuel lines, 83pound injectors, GRP fuel rails, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. (Vehicle is tuned for 93 octane fuel, but 100 octane is recommended for racing.), Autolite plugs, PA performance 200 AMP alternator, 950CCA NAPA Commercial battery relocated to rear hatch area.
Suspension and Braking: 2003 Cobra PBR calipers, Brembo drilled and slotted rotors, 5 lug conversion, 1996 Mustang tubular front K member, Cobra master cylinder, Wildwood proportioning valve, all steel braided brake lines, handbrake pawl welded, Evolution Motorsport watts link rear suspension with Steeda tubular control arms, Tokiko Illumina shocks, lowering Eibach springs and Eibach wheel spacers, Cobra R 5 lug wheels, upper and lower battle boxed rear end, front caster plates, welded zinc plated sub frame connectors, new power steering rack with bump steer kit.
Powertrain: Hurst short throw shifter, original stock T-5 transmission, competition duty RAM clutch and pressure plate, high torque starter, clutch cable quadrant adapter, Ford Motorsport aluminum driveshaft, Flowmaster exhaust, Detroit Tru Trac differential covered by Trick Flow HD diff cover, Superior 31 spline rear axles, 8.8 Ford Motorsport 3.73 rear end gear.
Body and Interior: Cervini Stalker front bumper cover, Boss twin turbo hood with pins, Maier Racing wide body kit, PPG paint and clear coat, Florida 5.0 gauge pods, painted BBRC 8 point roll cage with door swing out, 5 point drivers harness, (all factory seat belts still installed), stock interior and seats. I ordered the vehicle with all options Ford offered that year except a sunroof.
Misc: I have a new in box Flowmaster 17116 exhaust that I never got around to installing, that will be included. The vehicle can be tuned or monitored (if desired) with any laptop that runs Windows 98 or 2000 and has a Serial port. The laptop pictured is what last tuned the vehicle and is included, but it needs a new laptop battery. The instructions and manual for the Electromotive is also included, as is the pictured Wolf car cover and a driveshaft loop kit. As mentioned, the vehicle sat for seven years, so I strongly suggest the tires be replaced, even though they look brand new. (Same miles as the engine). Fronts are Yokahama AVS Sport 245/45 ZR17, Rears are BF Goodrich G-Force Drag Radials 315/35 17. Brakes use DOT 4 synthetic brake fluid, engine uses Mobil1 5W30Synthetic oil with a Fram HP1 filter. Rear diff uses synthetic 75W90 gear oil. The A/C compressor and lines were removed and the holes capped, but the evaporator under dash is still there. Heater and fan blower works.
Please see the pictures as they say much more than I can type, and feel free to contact me with questions. Car was bought in FL, but I now live in IL. Never used in the winter. Clear title and current registration in hand, and the vehicle has never been in any accident. See my YouTube videos for a walkaround at idle and others.
