West Coast Classics are proud to present a great daily driving and rust free example of this original southern California (with it's original 1950's 'Yellow Plates' to be sold with the car) 1956 Ford Thunderbird with original factory options including; Removable Fiberglass Hard Top, Town & Country radio, Ford-o-matic auto transmission, 4-way power seat, Continental kit, Rear Fender Shields, Heater, Electric clock, Dual horns, Dual exhausts, Padded instrument panel, Half-circle steering wheel ho...rn ring and sun visors, Full wheel covers with whitewall tires and the desirable 312 4V 225HP V8 engine and boasting long time southern California ownership and still titled in an original California 'Pink Slip'!
Recently purchased from its long time southern California owner who had owned the car for the past 28 years since reportedly purchasing the car from it's original owner! The car has been repainted some years ago in it's original 'Raven Black' factory color (A) and has its original matching two-tone pleated 'Black & White' vinyl interior. It has all its original factory glass and and the original spare wheel Continental Kit with jack and strap.
The floor boards are completely solid and rust-free and the car was obviously a garaged and cherished southern California driver only. The car's repaint is still very presentable with only minor imperfections noticeable upon close inspection and the factory optional upgrade of the 312/225HP V8 engine is extremely strong and desirable in the '56 Thunderbird. This particular car drives very well - drives straight with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a very reliable driver that will give any modern day car a run for it's money!
This is a rare opportunity to own a great and reliable daily driving and non-restored example of an obviously always garaged and cherished original southern California rust free 1956 Thunderbird in very fine condition throughout! Owned for almost thirty years now by only one southern California family, you will look long and hard to find a better candidate to fully restore for the T-Bird enthusiast or simply a great daily driving and turn-key ready example of the legendary 1956 T-Bird for any classic American car collector!
