Here's a very nice 52 Wayfarer with the rare 2 door body style. This car spent the last 30 years in dry storage but was started and run occasionally. It has very little rust and a great original interior. I purchased this car from the long term owner's estate. It starts and runs from a remote can. I have purchased a new fuel pump but haven't had time to clean the fuel tank yet. Brakes need serviced. but it stops with the emergency brake. Engine smokes when revved up - it may just need the rings reseated since its been off the road so long. After its driven it will probably stop smoking. Looks like the previous owner replaced the head gasket recently. so it may have had a valve job or other internal work sometime in the past. Also has new plugs. wires. hoses. Does not include a battery but I can loan one to get it on a trailer. Transmission is the semi-automatic fluid drive. It uses a torque converter mated to a regular 3 speed trans. Push the clutch in while the car is at rest. select first gear and let out the clutch. The car can idle in gear. but will take off when you press the gas. To shift. just move the lever to second or third gear. No clutch needed. I've driven the car around the property and it seems to shift fine. Body was repainted probably in the 1970s. Some of the trim was painted over to give it a blackout look. One of the ram's horns on the hood ornament is missing. The floors are great. Trunk floor has some scale and a small hole in the corner. Outer rockers look good. one inner rocker has some rust through and there is rust on one of the outrigger body mounts. The rest of the frame and body are solid. Interior is clean and odor free. Original rubber floor mat intact. and there's a set of period seat covers over the original upholstery (which is well preserved). It has a heater. and radio delete. I think once the carb. brakes and fuel are re-done. it will be a great driver. Steering and shifter are tight. and the car really does feel like a low mileage survivor. Car is located in New Richmond Ohio. 45157. about 30 minutes east of Cincinnati. Car has clear Ohio title. Questions/Inspections welcome. We will work with a shipper if you choose to send one.
